Community Helps Bring Early Christmas For South Lyon Boy

11/6/09 - The family of a 5-year-old South Lyon boy is celebrating Christmas this weekend. The reason it's coming early to the Biorkman household is the fact that Noah Biorkman is in the finals stages of cancer that he has been fighting since he was 3 years old. He was diagnosed with neuroblastoma in February of 2007, went into remission six months later but relapsed in September of 2008. The boy is currently in hospice care and his family is asking for help in making this Christmas special for him by sending cards. Thousands of cards and gifts have been pouring into the Biorkman's mailbox from strangers around the world. His parents, Diana and Scott, said they have accepted the fact that their son won't make it until Christmas Day and that's why they're so thankful for the community's support in sending Noah Christmas cards, Santa is also scheduled to make a visit with the South Lyon Fire Department this weekend to the family's home.
