Time to relax a bit now. Going to read Harry Potter. Brought the British version back from a bookstore in Greenwich, UK. The language is a hoot.
One must keep in mind that it is a children's book. I get kick out of sophisticated teens who claim that they are so 'beyond Harry Potter' and the critics who apparently also want to be overly sophisticated and compare it to the serious of adult work. Hey, it encourages reading and is quite good. So there, but, that's only my opinion.

Will be slow because I'll be outta-the-box for about three weeks.

BACK FROM LONDON where I took a group of graduate students. We rode the Picadilly line daily and missed the first bombing by about 45 minutes. All home and safe. Can hardly wait to do this again next year! In the mean time it is back to OZ this winter (their summer).

I'm in a bit of a political mood. Perhaps it is because "U.S. intelligence officials familiar with the issue, the National Counterterrorism Center reported 625 "significant" terrorist attacks in 2004. The 2003 figure was 175." Well we've decided to not publish the little booklet any more. I wonder why? Is it just that we want to save money for tax cuts to corporations and/or the wealthy? Perhaps that's just where my taxes are not going? Ya, ya, ya, I know, I'm happy to be paying them. I just want them well spent.
