I don't believe in religion, but I do respect those who do. But people like this, I have nothing but contempt for.

There's a joke somewhere about someone who believed in god. There was a flood. A rescue team came to his door but the man refused. "God will save me," he said. When he had to go to higher ground, people on a life raft came by and he refused. "God will save me." When he was forced onto his roof and a helicopter came, he still refused, believing god would save him.

When he died, he went to heaven and was furious. He complained to an angel asking where god was after he showed so much faith. The angel replied "we sent you a rescue team, a boat an a helicopter, what more could you want?"

Modern science and religion can't coexist perfectly, but if you are devout enough to belive god made everything, can't you believe that everything around you was made by god? Including medicine?

I hope the book ends up thrown at this woman. And not the bible.

That's awesome but pretty scary! I know of a few airports where the landing runway flies directly over a highway, so frequently you have planes overhead perhaps 250 feet above you (which is pretty close!) complete with screaming engines. Having it where I drive? Like I said, awesome and scary!
