Happy Birthday America

I'd like to throw off the veil of the blog for a moment.

Being a former US soldier I know what its like to put on that uniform everyday. I didn't do it for anything but to make sure that the one's I love didn't have to. It is the duty of every American to support and defend this great nation.

Regardless of politics, right wing or left; black, white or brown; English speakers and non. This GREAT experiment our founding fathers left us is in our hands to build or destroy.

Outside Independence Hall when
the Constitutional Convention of 1787 ended,
Mrs. Powel of Philadelphia asked Benjamin Franklin,
"Well, Doctor, what have we got, a republic or a monarchy?"
With no hesitation whatsoever, Franklin responded,
"A republic, if you can keep it."

The real question is can we, as a nation, can we. With all that I am and all that we have, I hope we can otherwise all that we have gained and fought for since breaking the leash of British rule and almost breaking ourselves apart will have been for naught.

Just remember this 4th that Freedom and our nation isn't free.
