Hello world !

since I have been seeing people visit frequently this page, a feeling, that I should leave a post here for you, readers, grows. Listening to a good home-made-by myself ;) playlist called 'A sunday with Louie', I'm writting down these words.

I was listening to How Bizarre, by OMC, now that's "Who's that lady", by Ilsey Brothers, yeah, you got it, this post is here to show you what I really like : making playlists.

Now, there's Derapaz, a creole song by Baster, a Reunionese band... I need to describe it for you that may not know what I mean. Imagine a slow, mellow ternary reggae with these good latinos drums. Feel the scansed rythm, the Rhodes piano solo, yeah, this is 'cadenza' men !

Now, Oukast's 'Spread' is playing...pretty like this one too. I'm freaking catched by the wording and rapping of these guys. This tune is really full of surprises, I wonder if you've already listened to it with good headphones ;) Sexy sounds that make a movie in my head.

Here The CLash's 'Rock the Casbah'. Everything begins with a solid rythm part. Then a genuine chorus, clear back voices cuttin' the smashin' lead voice. Some weird soundeffects - this is not culture !) but I'm addicted to it

A little bit of silence, Jeff Buckley says 'er...this is song that none of you have heard yet; probably most of you' and then the river-song 'What Will You Said" came into the place, within strange reflexive indian-like chords flowing up & down Jeff's glorious voice, a cloud climbing the ladders to the stars... but at the half the song, the trio give us a legacy of genious breakdowns and take-offs, fulfilled of harmony, energy, rythm.

The song is end, a new follow... the voice begins soon after the first exotic guitar, drums, violin, and the first words are 'Mumuvatu shri Sadasvati'. Then Susheela Raman is defying violon in scat. The fascinating chorus is taking us up to a distant place, not so far to the place I live, land of ancient gods still here on Earth today.

And I heard now another creole song from my island : 'Valé Valé' by Firmin Viry, recorded on stage with Baster. This an old song, from our colonial past, talkin' bout a European guy who is ready to shot down a bird. He's saying that it'll be great to get some birds, and to have money to came back home. The song seems to gather differents lyrics in one musical background. Now, it looks that the guys hunting in the forest are listening to the King comin' in.

Here Aquele Abraço by Gilberto Gil, Caetono Veloso... very attractive to dancers I bet. I like the audience shoutin' 2 ou 3 times in the song ! oh, this ternary rythm, I think this song corresponds to Derapaz, that we'd have heard before, a genuine music from creole people all around the world .
A wonderful singer then, Joni Mitchell, with Big Yellow Taxi. This one fits well in the playlist because the sustained rythm and melodies.

Another song that you may never heard, sorry, I like it since I'm 15. Mookatz are playing La Haut. Again, these mambo double-drums, some steel-drum, and then come in a powerful rock guitar and a 6-string bass, and then again, latino sound... A good alternative-rock from my island, yeah... and wonderful but sad lyrics.

To conclude, a famous song, 'Otis' by The Durutti Columns. One day, I bought the OST of 24h people. There It came, a revelation. This guy was sampling Tracy Chapman ! and I listened to it again and again, each time discovering new features. Have I already told you that goods headphones are the best way to feel music ?

Soon, there will be pics whith theses song... I would like so much to make a movie with this sound-track I was describing you.
