I met Robert Plant today. No joke.

He was just walking down the sidewalk in front of my building where a co-worker and I were loading stuff into my bosses car. I froze when I saw him and just stared. He was just a couple of feet away and stared back like, "Are you going to say something or what??". But I couldn't move so I just smacked my co-worker's arm so she would look. Finally she figured it out and she froze too! So I told her to run after him! Say his name! Make him turn around! That's Robert Fucking Plant!! So she ran down the sidewalk after him. By the time I caught up to them they were almost done chatting so I just mumbled something along the lines of "enjoy your stay in Portland!" like the tongue-tied idiot I am. I don't even know if he heard me. But he was very nice and didn't try and run away from us, as I am sure we looked like total freaks drooling all over ourselves.

I will also say this - he looks GREAT. He was dressed in dark jeans, a dark t-shirt and Frye boots. His hair is awesome. He's kind of tan. He's super tall. He's Robert. Fucking. Plant.

nothing is a mistake. there's no win and no fail. there's only make. the only rule is work. if you work it will lead to something. it's the people who do all the work all the time who eventually catch on to things. don't try to create and analyze at the same time. they're different processes. be happy whenever you can manage it. enjoy yourself. it's lighter than you think. always be around. come or go to everything. always go to classes. read. anything you can get your hands on. look at movies. carefully. often. save everything - it might come in handy later. there should be new rules next week.
