Richard Branson needs no introduction. And even if his Virgin Cola idea was a bit of flop, his foray into the music industry certainly hasn't been. That's why the V Festival gets some of the best acts around today. Although it is often cited as more commercial than Glastonbury or Reading, it's hard to deny that V has set the standards for what fans expect from a music festival these days. Like Reading, the V Festival added a northern leg in Staffordshire to go on beside the original event in Chelmsford. The V Festival has a calmer and more relaxed feel than others while still drawing in the biggest bands throughout the late nineties through to the noughties, from Blur and Pulp to The Red Hot Chili Peppers and The Strokes.

This year's V Festival will see the likes of Muse, The Prodigy, The Verve, Kings of Leon, Muse, Alanis Morissette, Girls Aloud, The Chemical Brothers and many more besides. Don't miss out on one of the most bog standard festivals out there - get your tickets here!

Festival mania in the UK has forced festivals like Reading to accommodate for the thousands of fans who want to get through those gates. When Mean Fiddler Music Group took over promotion of the Reading Festival from Harold Pendleton, the event took on a new life and attitude. Popularity has grown so much that in 1999 Mean Fiddler announced a new leg of Reading at Leeds. Full of the same intense atmosphere with top-name performers, the Leeds Festival brings what's hot in Reading up to the North. This year's festival will see Rage Against the Machine, The Killers, Metallica, Queens of the Stone Age, Bloc Party, Tenacious D, The Reconteurs and many more, including Babyshambles and Manic Street Preachers. Increasingly popular, Leeds is a great alternative venue for getting the authentic festival spirit of Reading with the beautiful Yorkshire countryside. This year's Leeds Festival sold out within two hours of tickets going on sale! Lucky for you, we've got tickets here.

As more and more festivals crop up around the UK, it's easy to forget the ones that matter. The Reading Festival, for example, matters. Many of the best bands in the last thirty years have played at Reading, like The Ramones, The Jam, Nirvana, The Prodigy and The Beastie Boys, plus more recent heroes like Artic Monkeys and Kings of Leon. Reading's festival spirit is unlike any other and has seen many of the greatest moments in rock history: Kurt Cobain wheeled out on his wheelchair or The Stone Roses's last ever gig. And it's not an easy crowd to please - acts that haven't fit the bill (i.e. Meat Loaf and Bonnie Tyler) have been notoriously forced off of the stage by an assault of bottles and cans. But that's just part of what makes the Reading Festival so great.

This year's Reading Festival will see a host of pop indie bands like The Killers, Editors and The Fratellis, and ending with a hard rock Sunday featuring Rage Against the Machine, Slipknot and Metallica, plus many more acts besides. Get your tickets at our exclusive prices now!
