very true. Net-savvy users are are less likely to click on the ads.

I'll take this a step ahead in user behavior and say that non tech sites have a higher CTR than tech blogs because users on tech blogs are more aware of ads and avoid them than compared to someone who is looking for hot juicy gossip from Hollywood.
