Ahahahahahahhahahahahhaha...Gore has another great line, one to equal to "You're talking about Dick Cheney. I think that those people are in such a tiny, tiny minority now with their point of view, they're almost like the ones who still believe that the moon landing was staged in a movie lot in Arizona and those who believe the world is flat," which fits McSame and the Republican party like a glove.

Sez the Goracle of McSame, et al, "I believe in recycling, but that's ridiculous," said Gore. He said the oil industry has a "50-year lease on the Republican party, and they're drilling it for all it's worth."

Hmmmm, so that's why the Republican motto is Don't Tap, Don't Tell. They're ALL getting drilled...

Texas students pack bookbags; teachers pack heat - Yahoo! News

I can only imagine the public reaction to the first teacher shooting when a teacher who has had enough pulls one out and starts blasting, or an easily obtained substitute job gives some whack-job the perfect setting to which he can easily bring a gun.

"WHAT the HELL are TEACHERS doing WITH GUNS at the SCHOOL MY KID ATTENDS???"

Yeah, some may be fine with it now or even approve, but realistically, it is a disaster waiting to happen. No, I don't want it to happen, but it will as more schools begin to allow teachers to pack.

Georgia is letting civilians carry, Floridians carry them to work and now Texas teachers take them to school. And yes, at some point, someone will be a hero for having one at the right place and the right time, but eventually, someone else will be the villain for bringing one to work, school or a restaurant.

Sadly, it's just inevitable.

The Three Dumbest Neocon Predictions Since the Disaster in Iraq | ForeignPolicy | AlterNet

Neo-cons appeal to the sleeple. That's their target audience and it's a large audience.

However, I seriously doubt any of the sleeple would make it through the first sentence, much less the opening paragraph, but for a good chuckle for the rest of us, read up on the three dumbest neo-con predictions regarding Iraq, the, um, spread of "democracy" in insignificant countries and about Georgia.

In one case, read between the lines while a freakazoid, sociopathic neo-con lovingly, almost sexually, describes what weapons he predicts the Georgians should use to do what he says will pain the Russian Army, and what I say is the equivalent of suicide.

From the article: "The author is supposedly talking about how a Georgian insurgency could 'pain' the Russian army in this Aug. 14, 2008, piece, but he may as well be cheering the unimaginable pain that such a course would inflict on the Georgian population. It's that childish callousness that makes this such a classic of Neocon prognostication: 'Why don't you Georgians start a guerrilla war against the Russians? It'd be fun!'"

Yes, fun indeed, and the sleeple will rest easy knowing someone, somewhere, whom they believe without question, is in charge of their freedom.

Why should Al be ashamed? He was a nominee for the Nobel Prize, not a judge or voter for the winner.

So, she saved 2500 lives and that is very impressive and courageous. However, the fate of humanity is dependent upon whether we can or will reverse the effects of environmental damage and Al's contribution to raising awareness of that is immeasurable. Whether or not one agrees with his assessment of the environment, he certainly got us talking about it more and that is the first step towards addressing it.

Irena was a courageous and great woman and she deserves to be recognized for that, no doubt, but she is not Nobel Prize material for what she did.
