This reminds me of the services in the 90's that would monitor pages and send out an e-mail if they changed. I think this makes sense in the modern world of RSS and feeds everywhere, but I still feel the push model of the 90's is more the RightThing to do.

Ok, I admit this is yet another blog post about using a social-web service for a sales boost, but I think this guy get it right. People who follow his advice may still be using SU to promote themselves, but they will also be generating actual, quality content that will benefit everyone else. Also, most of the advice could benefit all of us on SU.

I can understand the Government wanting to be a part of the new world of the Internet, but this is simply proving the incompetence of our government. Also, how can an X-ray image be sensitive information? Basic physics dictates that the results should be a density map of the contents of the object in question. Therefore, a person with Photoshop or the GIMP could construe a reasonable facsimile of an X-ray sans equipment. Also, anyone can get a pretty good look at the results of an airport X-ray scan while at an airport.

This is a hard one to decide on. I don't like the misleading and blatantly-false content as regards the reality behind Net Neutrality, but I do like it as an example of how extremely desperate the telcos are becoming.
