Hi, I haven't been logged in for several months here, but I wanted to let you know I am telling you the absolute truth. I do suffer from Narcolepsy, Fibromylalgia and RA. Social Security has deemed me too disabled to work, but I was short 2 work credits to get SSDI, and for SSI, the cost of living maximum figures to financially quallify are based from the 1970's! I still get nothing from SS, but I promise you I am absolutely telling the truth. I am a member of the Narcolepsy Network and my nuclear bone scan proved I Have RA. I am sure you are a nice person, and I am happy to meet new pals online... I don't drive anymore-- Narcolepsy.

Hi Friends, sorry I have been away so long, but we lost our house to foreclosure�a bit over a month ago. It was the most painful, difficult thing I have ever been through, even with the narcolepsy with cataplexy, RA, and Fibromyalgia. Many tears were shed, but now I am feeling better. I still go without medications/food alot, but I have faith in the Lord he will help me. I pray most of all he will help my terrible pain go away.�

My Heart Glows Today, because I Helped Someone.

Today my heart glows because I could help.
Dark in the night of our lives we walk alone,
But together, when we reach out for help,
An angel is there, someone who understands.

Tears of joy stream down my face, because she called.
When faced with chronic illness, we are terrified.
So many questions, so few who understand.
Does anyone out there Know what I am going through?

A smile glows in my heart today, because I could help.
Like a diamond, I feel the warm joy of feeling worthwhile.
The reason, the purpose of posting my story on Myspace, Fulfilled.
Today is the day I can comfort and reassure a friend I have yet to meet.

When not knowing what's going on with our body, the fear, the worry;
To find an understanding shoulder is not easy to find.
Others think you're lazy, though the exhaustion attacks us...
Against our will, the cloak of sleepiness overwhelms....
We are trapped if we do not reach for answers.

My heart glows today, because Someone reached out for help.
Narcolepsy is no picnic, and without eachother, terrifying.
No one knows you like another with Narcolepsy.
No one else can tell the jokes only we can laugh about.

As we just lost our home to foreclosure, we do not even have enough money for an apartment deposit, which is $300, food, nor gas... which is $12 a day for Ken. Thanks so much for your help!

Boy do I know your pain, I have been determined by Social Security to be permanently disabled due to the conditions listed in my signature, but fell short 2 work credits to get SSDI, and the SSI limits are based on the COL figures from the 1970's! At the time of judge approval (he has just returned to work), he made $1900 gross, just 200 over the limit for 2 persons! Our mortgage is 1200 for a 3b2b 1976 F&J home here in TC, my medical COPAYS total more than 350/mo, and all those utilities like electric and water! There is nothing left to eat! Crazy, and then there is the cost of gasoline... I can no longer drive, but my husband has had many times when he could not go to work because we had no money for gasoline.

Time for change...big time. Us who suffer have had enough and it is far time to get angry and demand change. NO MORE illegals getting free medical care for having babies at PARKLAND, but I who has never been pregnant, done nothing to get my medical conditions gets turned down solely because my husband had access to a POS Indemnity Supplementary plan which didn't cover any of my Prescriptions and only paid out for serious things like $2000-- loss of arm or leg!

Man, our house is foreclosing March 4th... date of sale, and there is nothing we can do, despite my desperate tears and pleas... I would rather die than live in apartments ever again. Our home was my life, my dream, it is no mansion.

I'm OK with my debilitating conditions, I can cope as long as I have my 12+prescriptions and can get my out of control RA and Fibromyalgia pain under control, but please God, don't take away our home. Even though I cannot work... as determined by SSA, I have been working so hard as "Your Sleepy AVON Lady" for this past year, just trying my best to succeed somewhat, try to make ends meet, ease my depression by getting out more, and feel at least somewhat human and worthwhile. I have been working lately with excruciating pain in all my limbs, and now my mobility is more limited than I could ever imagine for a 27yr old. It is very difficult to get dressed, clean house, or open anything.

Yes, I do think it is high time for the rules of the Welfare System to change and help us honest Legal born citizens working hard to help ourselves instead of rewarding the Lazy! Come and see my closet, you will not find anything fancy.

Yep it does stink! Thanks for the moral support, and I know about the illegals able to get free health care from Parkland, when I was unable. It made me red. I am all over the net. If there is an online community, I can usually be found there as sleepyavon, sleepygal, discuscatcher, or rachelrussell. Just type in sleepy+avon on google, and my AVON page is ranked really high. I would love to reach more clients in The Colony more than anything. I do my best to get the word out online, too. I always have special themes and offers with the changing seasons, do free gift wrapping, referral gifts, and give customer appreciating gifts with each order. I really can't do anything else but AVON. With all my symptoms and stress financially, I just can't and would prefer to not take on anything else. Down to the BONE! That's how deep my pain goes. My Rheumatiod Arthritis is out of control, My shoulders, knees, hands, and feet joints are in unbearable pain, and I often have difficulty moving, getting around, and especially opening or pushing anything. The Methotrexate isn't good for anything in terms of controlling the RA pain and joint damage. When everything is compacted with my severe muscular pain as well (fibromyalgia) and severe financial povery, I don't think I can go on much longer. The pain runs too deep, and I am a very caring, good person, but I need a guardian angel; a soft place to fall. Someone to say it will all be ok, and they WILL make everthing OK. When I fell in the shower a week or so ago, I bruised my side really bad, and it STILL hurts badly and prevents my movement significantly. When You are completely helpless and disabled, not able to get help you desperately need, you shut down inside and give up on the world just as it has given up on you. Man, our WATER was turned off by THE Colony today! If only there was someway besides suicide to escape my body, my prison of pain. If only I could be provided enough money and provisions to survive. If only I could afford to go to my doctors for desperately needed care. If thou shall really not want... then please let it be so and done... no more needless suffering, esp. when you're in horrible pain, severely sleepy, can't drive, are abandoned, hungry and thirsty. I have absolutely not an ounce of energy to do anthing else but suffer and wait. That is what three major chronic debilitating conditions do to person.... plus rid the soul of hope when further abandoned by society.
