the rest of the article appears to be complete fantasy though, including the imaginary opinions of those people who seek to ensure home-schooled kids are getting educated correctly, and that parents don't have the right to home-school their kids in order to shelter them from things they don't want their kids to learn (some call these things, collectively, "reality"). The state of California has an obligation to ensure that home-schooled kids meet their standards in the same way that publicly schooled kids do.

finally, homeschooling has no beneficial effect on Christianity. Home-schooled kids are more likely to attend services because religious parents are more likely to home-school. If those same kids in the same families went to public schools, they would likely show the same level of church attendance. The outside word may be big and mean and full of heathens, but that's the world you get.
