A man has written a book for children about alcoholism, based on his own experience. Author David Yelland did not succumb to alcohol. My father did.

It looks quiet, but this photo was taken right next to a busy highway in Perth. This houseboat would have been demolished in about 1970, but the owner got around the rules which stipulated that he wasn't permitted to build a new one if he knocked the old one down. So he just built a new one right over the old one.
