I think they should just hire the people that Microsoft and Yahoo laid off, many of whom had very, very impressive technical skills.

The way I look at it, there should be a program which should include:
strong incentives to have fewer children and strong incentives to have no children (e.g., free contraception and sterilization)

the return of the Victory Garden (or some other name -- what's the opposite of global climate change??) but imposing a ban on ruminants (which generate methane), which will help minimize the impact of factory farming and its associated carbon production.

I used to really dislike Rushkoff, when he was writing about technology and his vision of it. But, his economic insights are right on. As a citizen of the United States, I agree with his fears that the U.S. no longer exports anything and the country is just biding time until reckoning day. Sadly, I think the U.S. will be forced to become a global military empire, much like Rome, just wrestling away resources from other countries rather than any attempt at trade.

For me, it was hardest to answer the "passion" (love) questions. I think it would've been easier to answer these sorts of questions when I was younger, but it seems like it's harder to put my finger on one thing or even a small set of things the older I get.

It would be interesting to answer these questions on an yearly/annual basis and see how they change over time.
