I took most of these photos yesterday at Horning and Cockshoot Broad.
It was fascinating watching the Great Crested Grebe adults feeding fish to their young with an element of fishing lessons involved.

I took another trip to Horning today. While driving along the single carriageway lane, through the reed beds, that leads down to the river, I came across a Bittern walking down the lane about 15ft in front of me. I don't know which one of us was the most surprised, naturally it was off like a shot, so no photo opportunity unfortunately. I did get a few shots whilst there though.

I took a trip to Horning today, there were quite a few Greylag and Egyptian Geese about and a few Mute Swans. They were all in particularly aggressive moods, presumably as it is the nesting season.

The one below totally lost his head :)

Here are a few shots I took of a male Pheasant I took at Weir water in Sussex last week. I went primarily because it is usually full of Great Crested Grebes, unfortunately there was only one pair, the best shot I managed is at the bottom.

As you can see that good shot of a Grebe is still evading me :)
