Do you enjoy reading all the oddball news from around the world?

Do you use iGoogle? Or to put it another way, do you have your own customized Google home page?

If so, you presumably know how to add the various types of content to your Google home page - news, weather, sports etc.

Well now there is a great new widget from Tagfoot that brings you the latest and greatest in Bizarre news from around the world.

You won't find it on the list of widgets to add - at least not yet - so this is a rather exclusive opportunity to add this to your Google home page before your friends do. Doesn't it feel good to be the first for a change?

Winter is fast approaching here in England, the clocks have now gone back, it's darker at night, and at the end of a long day at work so many of us are now faced with a dark and damp commute home, which can sometimes turn into a nightmare experience.

My drive home from work is only 8 1/2 miles, yet last night it took close to 1 1/2 hours to get home. It was even worse for several people I know in the office who didn't get home until 8pm and 8:30pm, and that was only a drive of 14 miles.

Adobe Flash Player 0.2 claims to be an add-on for Mozilla Firefox to add improved usability for Adobe Flash Player 10, but the plug-in replaces ads on Google search pages with its own ads, and worst of all, the spyware has the ability to track what pages you browse and what you search.

These are some great photographs of the island of Tioman, a couple of hours off the coast of Malaysia by fast ferry. Tioman is a lush tropical paradise, with a marine sanctuary, great beaches and places to stay, and is a popular destination for divers and snorkellers.

I do have a lot of sympathy and also praise for women who had to do the washing years ago. Without a mangle or spin drier, it's impossible to get most of the water out of the clothing, and I think most of us forget just how much water actually weighs. When I think that years ago women used to carry their clothing down to the river to wash, then lay them out on the rocks to dry, and carry them home, I have no doubt that their arm muscles must have been pretty powerful.

Giovanni is a 3 year old boy who's brain was damaged during his birth. His mom and dad have searched for every possible treatments that might help Giovanni have a more normal life. Not long ago they heard about the success that was being made be transplanting stem cells into children like Giovanni.
The treatment is not available in the area where Giovanni lives, so the family will have to travel to Germany where they will need to stay for a period of time, so that Giovanni can have his transplants and intensive therapy. Giovanni can not talk, but uses some signs with his head to communicate. Thank you for your support!

I had a call on Friday afternoon from a recruiter who has been looking after me really well since before I moved from Florida, and he managed to get me an interview for Monday morning with a large local company that is still family owned, and has been in the area for many years.

The interview Monday morning went well, so well in fact that I got called back on Tuesday afternoon for a second interview.

Hoping to hear tomorrow if I have a job or not. Wish me luck.
