At the school where I work as a teacher, we have to say a brief prayer each morning, in my case this is to my tutor group of 14 and 15 year olds. To help illreligious form tutors such as myself, some very kind people produce a photocopy sheet of suggested daily prayers and a quotation from the Sunday Liturgy. This is a True Story;

Me: And our thought for the week, from the liturgy is " If your hand sins, cut it off"

Andy (a 14 yearold boy): I can think of sins my hand commits all the time Miss.....

Me: Do you mind Andy, we're trying to prepare for prayer?

Andy: I can't believe that God wants me to cut my knob off!

General chaos and hilarity ensued.
