Court-Stripping

The law states that once a person is detained, "no court, justice, or judge shall have jurisdiction to hear or consider any claim or cause of action whatsoever ... relating to the prosecution, trial, or judgment of a military commission under this chapter, including challenges to the lawfulness of procedures of military commissions."

"The best and most beautiful things in the world cannot be seen or touched--they must be felt with the heart."
......Helen Keller

On their wedding night, the young bride approached her new husband and asked
for $20.00 for their first sexual encounter.
In his highly aroused state, her husband readily agreed.

This scenario was repeated each time they made Love, for more than 30 years, with him thinking that it was a cute way for her to afford new clothes and other incidentals that she needed.

Arriving home around noon one day,she was surprised to find her husband in a very drunken state.
During the next few minutes,he explained that his employer was going through a process of corporate downsizing,
and he had been let go.
It was unlikely that, at the age of 59, he'd be able to find another position that paid anywhere near what he'd been earning,
and therefore,the were financially ruined.

Calmly, his wife handed him a bank book which showed more than thirty years of steady deposits and interest totaling nearly $1 million.
Then she showed him certificates of deposits issued by the bank which were worth over $2 million,
and informed him that they were one of the largest depositors in the bank.

She explained that for the more than three decades she had "charged" him for sex, these holdings had multiplied and these
were the results of her savings and investments.

Faced with evidence of cash and investments worth over $3 Million, her husband was so astounded he could barely speak,
but finally he found his voice and blurted out,"If I'd had any idea what you were doing,
I would have given you all my business!"

And that's when she shot him.
You know, sometimes, men just don't know when to keep their mouths shut.

Think about this: There are about 4,700 chemicals and gases in cigarette smoke. One of the worst is carbon monoxide gas (CO). The same chemical found in exhaust fumes. Smokers inhale it with every drag, and in high amounts. CO prevents oxygen from being carried through your cells to your body and brain.

Yes, that's as bad as it sounds. Less oxygen in your body can make you feel breathless when you're active. Like when you're climbing stairs. Or running to catch a bus. Even dancing at a wedding.

Less oxygen can also make your heart work harder. That's why smokers are at a higher risk of developing heart disease, blocked arteries, and strokes. Surely, you can do without those.

Okay, now for the good news. After 3 days of not smoking, your oxygen levels improve. The CO should be out of your system. Your heart shouldn't have to work so hard now.

Give it a test. Try walking up the stairs and talking to someone at the same time. No one around? Then talk to yourself - we won't tell. We'll test it again in a few weeks and see if you improve. Before starting any new activity, speak to your doctor.

Chances are you're on the road to feeling less short of breath than you used to be. And that's another thing to feel good about.

Cigarettes are full of bad things:

Chemicals in cigarettes...

Acetone
Ammonia
Arsenic
Cadmium
Carbon monoxide
Toluene

Also found in...

Paint stripper
Floor cleaner
Poison
Car batteries
Exhaust fumes
Industrial solvents

At last a guy has taken the time to write this all down Finally , the guys' side of the story.
We always hear " the rules" From the female side.
Now here are the rules from the male side. These are our rules!
Please note... these are all numbered "1"
ON PURPOSE!
1. Men are NOT mind readers.
1. Learn to work the toilet seat. You're a big girl. If it's up, put it
down. We need it up, you need it down. You don't hear us
complaining about you leaving it down.
1. Sunday sports. It's like the full moon or the changing of the
tides. Let it be.
1. Shopping is NOT a sport. And no, we are never going to think
of it that way.
1. Crying is blackmail.
1. Ask for what you want. Let us be clear on this one:
Subtle hints do not work!
Strong hints do not work!
Obvious hints do not work!
Just say it!
1. Yes and No are perfectly acceptable answers to almost every
question.
1. Come to us with a problem only if you want help solving it.
That's what we do. Sympathy is what your girlfriends are for.
1. A headache that lasts for 17 months is a Problem. See a
doctor.
1. Anything we said 6 months ago is inadmissible in an
argument. In fact, all comments become null and void after 7
Days.
1. If you won't dress like the Victoria's Secret girls, don't Expect
us to act like soap opera guys.
1. If you think you're fat, you probably are. Don't ask us.
1. If something we said can be interpreted two ways and one of
the ways makes you sad or angry, we meant the other one.
1. You can either ask us to do something Or tell us how you
want it done. Not both. If you already know best how to do it,
just do it yourself.
1. Whenever possible, Please say whatever you have to say
during commercials.
1. Christopher Columbus did NOT need directions and neither
do we.
1. ALL men see in only 16 colors, like Windows default settings.
Peach, for example, is a fruit, not A color. Pumpkin is also a
fruit. We have no idea what mauve is.
1. If it itches, it will be scratched. We do that.
1. If we ask what is wrong and you say "nothing," We will act like
nothing's wrong. We know you are lying, but it is just not worth
the hassle.
1. If you ask a question you don't want an answer to, Expect an
answer you don't want to hear.
1. When we have to go somewhere, absolutely anything you wear
is fine... Really .
1. Don't ask us what we're thinking about unless you are
prepared to discuss such topics as baseball, the shotgun
formation, or golf.
1. You have enough clothes.
1. You have too many shoes.
1. I am in shape. Round IS a shape!
1. Thank you for reading this. Yes, I know, I have to sleep on the
couch tonight; But did you know men really don't mind that? It's
like camping.
........ I haven't had to take a drink or a pill.

Just to become willing to come here was the key in my case .There was
no earning of being worthy of or meriting anything. I had to live to
be about sixty five before i realized that the very word "grace", the
meaning of the word "grace" is a free gift. And there's no way that
any of us can earn a free gift.

An Easy Way to Beat Stress

by Lynn Keiley

In addition to being more physically fit, people who exercise
regularly tend to be happier and less stressed than people who
don't.

Exercising just 30 minutes several times a week can reduce general
anxiety and stress, and can even be an effective treatment for
depression. A recent study conducted at the University of Colorado
found that physical activity also could prevent stress to the immune
system, lowering your risk for some bacterial and viral infections.
Most notably, studies show that those who exercise have a more
positive outlook on the world.

Fortunately, you don't need a lengthy workout to get in better shape
and brighten your perspective on life. For those new to exercise,
even as little as 10 minutes a day has been shown to relieve stress
and promote a general sense of well-being.

Although many activities successfully ease stress, studies suggest
the most effective exercises are rhythmic activities that work the
major muscle groups and are performed at moderate or low intensity,
such as jogging, swimming, cycling and walking. Research has also
shown that mentally stimulating forms of exercise, such as martial
arts, trigger positive mood changes, especially as a participant's
skill level improves.

Consistent exercise is the most beneficial, so choose an activity you
already enjoy and find time to do it regularly.

Do you have a favorite activity that helps you blow off steam and
stay in shape? Share your insight by posting a comment below.
