My response to someone who think Israel is justified in what its doing, and that the loss of Palestinian life is merely "unfortunate", "You just proved the 2nd part of my argument, that you think the loss of the palestinian's life is "unfortunate", but the loss of Israeli life is completely unacceptable and ANY AND ALL MEANS are acceptable to defend the security of its state's territorial boundaries.

You know 7,000 Mexicans died in the war on drugs in the last 2 years? And you know where these weapons came from? The United States! These weapons were smuggled in illegally from the United States. Does this give Mexico the right to go to war with the US for not preventing these weapons from being smuggled into its country by outlaws? (Probably not)

The number of people in Israel who have died due to terrorism in the last year is 36. Children in US cities are vulnerable to a higher murder rate than that of the likelihood of being killed by a terrorist attack in Israel. Welcome to the there is no absolute security club. 592 people were killed in Los Angeles County in 2008. Get some perspective! 900 Gazans dead for the status quo, so there will continue to be no real solution to the main problem of Israel & Palestine?

You know all that talk of Hamas using Palestinians as human shield in Gaza?

Well I think you should keep this in mind when you hear that:

"Israel recently added shoes and clothing to the list of forbidden imports. They claim Hamas might use them to make military uniforms. This, despite the fact that Israel often justifies its killing of civilians in Gaza by asserting that the Hamas militia can't be distinguished from civilians because, yes, you guessed it, they don't wear military uniforms."

Thinking about the horribleness of the Bush Administration, and the world.

I remembered upon an event that happened a few years ago that I will NEVER forget.

I remember that during Bush's 2005 State of the Union, the very first people he shook hands with were, Katherine Harris, former Secretary of State for Florida in 2000, and Kenneth Blackwell, former Secretary of State for Ohio in 2004, the very people who were also chairpersons of his presidential campaign and helped him steal those elections.

I will never forget that moment, because while probably very few people even noticed that moment, I just couldn't believe how blatant and unashamed these people are, and how they all thought they had gotten away with it scotch free.

I mean who is stupid enough to shake hands first with the people who rigged your election, at an event that is televised around the world and watched by millions? The fact they feel they can do this and go unnoticed is just outraged me.

To everyone outside of America,
everyone inside of America.

A great change is coming! And it has nothing to do with Barrack Obama.

Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom before you can start to improve yourself.

Thats whats happening in America right now. Do you wonder why over 50+ journalists were arrested at the political conventions? Do you wonder why thousands of protestors were arrested at the political conventions?

Its because the powers that be, see that our collective minds and will have profoundly changed, we're not gonna take this shit anymore.

Houston we have a problem:

I read this in Democracy Now's latest headlines:

"LA Times Announces 250 Job Cuts

And in media news, the Los Angeles Times has announced plans to lay off 250 employees, most of them in the newsroom. Nationwide, more than 1,000 jobs have been cut from seven major newspapers in the past week."

Did you just read that? There is going to be even *less* good quality reporting and range of coverage than there already is in the mainstream news.

This is not trivial, the lifeblood of a democracy, is well-informed citizenry, and with less journalists, we are not going to be better off, especially at this time when understanding what is going is absoutely critical to our survival.

Hope. There is nothing more important than that idea. It is what keeps us going in life despite all else. My first year of college nearly destroyed most of my hope and optimism but I am slowly recovering and letting hope take its route.

The current and coming age are very trying times. A global food crisis, water crisis, high energy costs, a weak economy, global warming, a troubled educational system, a budget that goes to fund killing people not helping our people, lack of healthcare for many, the housing crisis, unnecessary wars abroad, increasing poverty, and a war at home (the war on drugs) that brings so much pain to so many. And these are just some of the challenges we face.

But this is not the time to run away, this is the time to try to improve our lives and our collective destiny and make sure that when we look at our children and our young people, we can honestly say we fought the good fight and did all that we could for them.

OK I have officially had it with Nancy Pelosi.

I just found out that she sent representatives to Kucinich's office a few months ago, telling him that if he dropped his impeachment bill, that they would help make sure he got re-elected. He did no such thing and threw them out, and the Democratic leadership has not tried to help him rewin his seat.

It is such blatant blackmail. Kucinich is being McKinneyed. I can't believe the Democratic Leadership has sunk so low as to punish those who don't toe the party line.

Nancy Pelosi, I have had it with you, You used to be a good woman & congresswoman, but power has corrupted you.

Hi everyone!

I just wanted to thank everyone for their support of reading my blog!

I haven't written much lately and I apologize for that. I just started college 2 weeks ago and I have been slowly adjusting so I haven't had much time to write. I have also been helping here in DC organize the Sept 15 Antiwar March in DC w/ students at Georgetown.

But I have some great news, out of curiosity this summer, I put a site counter on this page to see how many visitors I get. Well according to it I got 555 visits to my site in August! And almost 1,000 (937) since I installed the counter sometime in July!

Thats amazing to me! according to StumbleUpon's own system, I have 191 fans which are people who subscribe to your pages on StumbleUpon. And I have had 4,658 visits (or visitors, I am not sure) from Stumblers logged in!

I started this blog just wanting to try to get people to hear about important stories or perspectives that they do not often hear about in the mainstream media because most people don't have the time or the dedication to be news junkies and really find the stuff that is important that often doesn't get the light that it should.

I am proud to do that and since then this has also become a forum for my political views. I am amazed that what I have said has been read at least 5,000 times. That to me is a mind boggling number!

Thank you to everyone that ever reads this blog! It means a lot to me!

Very soon I will start up posting and writing again.

I am very proud to be a news junkie who helps inform others & I will keep on trying to make sure people find the truth!
