Gossamer Wonders

sweet, warm touches -- delicate evening caress
once-proud leaf falls in the forests' heart
fading wild flower blanches in the wind
a lost spider's web wisps faraway
abandoned nest taken by childrens' hands
emerald grass yellowed in the briars
tragedies

can gods weep?
a bleeding heart fills the lungs with pain...
suffocating in compassion
laughter pulls skin apart
yet the expressionless live on?
to mock and scowl
forgetting that truth and beauty are lovers
they go on hailing the glory of the ends of flesh

but that which burns inside
swirls, quivers and flows
bare footed and fleshless
through the chest
and powerful, euphorically through the mind
no longer fearing love's formless beauty
spiral to the brink of truth
weep with purest sorrow;
that sensation known only by the tears
shed as wordless eulogy
for the gossamer wonders

I personally love the butterfly winged Sea Swallow, or Glaucus Atlanticus;

they eat hydroids (jellyfish) and store the nematocysts (stinging cells) in their own body's wall. This enables it to ward off potential predators with a stolen sting!

I have kept this resource to myself for far too long!
I can't stress enough how awesome Wikimedia Commons and the Internet Archive are!
Bursting with scans and bits of ancient texts, archaic engravings, turn-of-the-century illustrations, yellowed childrens' books, naturalist curiosities, cultural artifacts and pseudo-scientific works, Wikimedia Commons and "universal access to human knowledge" Internet Archive
are a treasury of public domain (in other words, free to use, download and creat things out of) odds and ends from our past (and present people who share), and a great resource for anyone interested in learning about and/or transforming cultural media, including DJs, graphic artists and all of us amateur historians. Many of my previous posts link to these illustrious sites, including Haeckel's lithographs, bioluminescence, and Wikimedia Pictures of the Day.
Beauty, the Bizarre and all points in between await you!

A strange instrumental trip-hop deal full of twists that goes in perhaps too many ways at once. The title is based on the paranormal phenomenon known as "lost time"[1], and similar mysterious disappearances where people go missing without a trace (I hope there are logical explanations). The title is a tribute to an episode on this subject done on the cult hit tv show Eerie, Indiana from the early 90's.

Good bye to freedom of information, hello to Chinese style Google.
Google is starting to censor its search results all over the world to prevent people from using it for finding copyrighted material online, with only a cursory letter you can have sites disappeared from their results. Since Google is the main way people find sites, being removed from their roles is online execution...

How to be Emo
