If the Rep. Bart Stupak (D-Mich) and Rep. Joseph Pitts (R-Penn) hadn't introduced the amendment to prohibit funds going to abortions the "Blue Dog" Democrats would NOT have voted to pass H.R. 3962.

I find it fitting that our new President seems to have a man crush on Abraham Lincoln and is trying so hard to boost Lincoln's image. Sure...everybody loves Lincoln, right? Wrong. Here are some sites I suggest people check out for some different views on Lincoln.
I am not a fan of Lincoln and I am not a fan of Obama either.

Some of my recommendations for this absurd bailout

1) Take all of the CEO's and high level executives or anyone else who had decision making powers that resulted in their company's failure. Require them to return at LEAST 80% of the money they were paid to do their job. Why? Because when you are hired you are expected to actually do your job, These people did NOT do their jobs and do not deserve the compensation originally agreed upon. If you hire me to do a job and you pay me, then inturn I not only don't do the job you paid me to do, but I cause you to loose your house, or to have to pay a fine or cause your business to go under....you would want the money you gave me back....because I didn't do what was agreed upon. That is fraud. Hold the people accountable and put them in jail. All of the money returned to the businesses they ran into the ground shall go towards the cost of the "bailout"

2) STOP GOVERNMENT SPENDING!!!!
Can you imagine how much money we wouldn't have to put up if we would just stop spending it in the first place. I pay for a cell phone each month because I want to have that service. However, it is not nessessary and I can STOP my service and SAVE the money I was spending on the cell phone. It is the same with government spending. We need to take care of ourselves before we decide to take care of masses of other people. It isn't selfish....it is independence; it is survival. It is NOT the government's job to take care of us. That is an individual/family responsibility. Stop spending tax payer money and put the money we would be paying for government services and put it towards the balance for this "bailout"

3) Clearly there is an insane amount of corruption going on. Otherwise, we wouldn't be facing this "crisis". Have an independent investigation of the companies, politicians, and lobbyists. When you find the incriminating evidence...and you WILL! Hold those people accountable. All of the money they were given from these companies for whatever reason was stated at the time...TAKE IT BACK. Apply it towards the balance of this "bailout"

4) Abolish the IRS! Let me keep the money I am supposed to get in my paycheck. Let me, as an individual decide what I want to do with my money. Do not steal my money before I even see it to pay for government programs that mean nothing to me.

5) On the issue of credit. Instead of trying to keep giving people credit...how about we STOP giving the credit. Continuing to give people credit for things they can't otherwise afford is wrong. So many people are already in so much debt that they will be working their entire lives to pay it off. STOP issuing credit and stop using it. Freeze the fucking credit for the love of God and let people pay off their debt instead of getting into more debt!!! If you have to work just to get out of debt that in itself is as bad as slavery. Indentured servitude if you will.

I have never quite understood how someone can say they believe in free speech but then go around telling others they can't say something because it is offensive to others. There is no such thing as "hate speech"....only "thought crimes". If you believe in the right to say whatever you want then you believe that others should be able to say whatever THEY want as well....even if you don't like it. When we go around classifying crimes or speech as "hateful" then you loose a part of the meaning behind those words.

It doesn't matter if something is hateful or peaceful. If you want to say something you should have the right to say it. If you commit a crime it doesn't make it any more or any less of a crime because of the reason you decided to commit said crime. If you think it does make a crime more severe because of the mindset of the individual committing the crime (excluding insanity) then you basically believe in thought crimes. You believe that what you think or what you believe is a crime.

I am getting so tired of this bullshit.

I just read that George Carlin has died at 71 years old. I know that I along with millions of others will truly miss his humor! A sad day.

I am thinking that maybe I should take up movie script writing because you apparently need no talent whatsoever to get a movie made. I figure I can write an absoutely terrible script and then sell it to the sci-fi channel and make a ton of money. It really amazes me just how many god awful movies actually get produced.

Where are all the lightening bugs? They used to be everywhere in the summers when I was a kid. I never see them anymore.

I have always been a mosquito magnet since I was a child but it seems like the bites are worse now. I think I am going to have to start putting bug repellent on even in the house or wear long sleeves, pants and socks all the time when I am in the house. It seems like if one mosquito gets in the house it finds me and proceeds to bite me until it probably gets too full and explodes.
