I have a severe case of stupid people fatigue.

I swear to God, I work with some of the dumbest people on Earth; I mean profoundly, painfully stupid. I don't guess my irritation with them would matter much in the scheme of things but these women are medical "professionals".

I spend about 60 hours a week with any number of them. I desperately need a break from those mentally flaccid fuckwits.

I should not have watched The Real Housewives of Atlanta this afternoon.

I have a weakness for trash TV. I usually get a kick out of it, but watching that horrible woman Lisa, your typical fake blond (dumb, silicone assisted, liposucked and botoxed to the max; but above all - talentless) bellowing her way through a song that anyone with half an ear could sing with ease made me want to vomit.

This woman is possibly the worst singer I have ever had the supreme displeasure of being forced to hear; but because she is pretty, fake blond, silicone assisted, liposucked and botoxed to the max she - who cannot sing at all, who has never paid any dues, has never worked at the craft - has a fucking recording contract.

I could sing circles around that bitch even if I were pie-eyed drunk and had laryngitis. Do I have a recording contract? Hell no!

I can sing beautifully but because I have never learned the fine art (sarcasm) of gold-digging I have to work twenty times harder and be twenty times better.

That kind of shit just pisses me off.

/rant

P.S. NeNe rocks!!

I have bizarre sleeping patterns, owing 100% to the fact that I work 12.5 hour shifts 3-4 nights a week. It's not unusual for me to be awake and hungry at 3:15 am. This tomato and fresh mozzarella tart is what I whipped up for breakfast this morning. It was yummy. Now I take a nap. :)

To clarify, the Adler Planetarium requested federal support - which was not funded - to replace the projector in its historic Sky Theater, the first planetarium theater in the Western Hemisphere. The Adler's Zeiss Mark VI projector - not an overhead projector - is the instrument that re-creates the night sky in a dome theater, the quintessential planetarium experience. The Adler's projector is nearly 40 years old and is no longer supported with parts or service by the manufacturer. It is only the second planetarium projector in the Adler's 78 years of operation.

Science literacy is an urgent issue in the United States. To remain competitive and ensure national security, it is vital that we educate and inspire the next generation of explorers to pursue careers in science, technology, engineering and math.

Senator McCain's statements about the Adler Planetarium's request for federal support do not accurately reflect the museum's legislative history or relationship with Senator Obama.
