I'm planning to go on a trip around Southeast Asia, particularly Thailand/Cambodia/Malaysia/Laos/(maybe)Vietnam, but I'm having some trouble planning an itinerary. If anyone here has done a trip similar to this and can give any tips, they would be most appreciated. I'm planning to spend a minimum of one month and maximum of two months traveling out, or could visit, would be great so please. It would be great to speak to someone who's done this before. Thanks Stumbleland. Peaaaace Outt. :D

Let me introduce everyone to the Portugese Man 'O War, or more commoonly known as the bluebottle or blue bubble jelly fish (in Australia and the Philippines anyways).

This MotherF'r right here stung me on my recent trip to the beach.

Poor, old, unexpecting me was about to hop on my surfboard after wiping out for the 1000x time. Then I feel this sharp stabbing pain on my back, and I think "holy s**t not another cramp"

But then my instructor shouts "Don't move! And don't touch your back! I'm about to remove something but don't freak out." I'm thinking how the hell do you expect me not to freak out after hearing you say that?

And I just bite my upper lip and try not to cry, while I wait to hear whatever I have to face. This trip was supposed to be a relaxing one, and it was just my luck to have something like this happen. I blame Mercury Retrograde!

Anyways, I get back on shore and my instructor explains that it was one of those little blue buggers that was stuck on my back.

My instructor has also fallen victim to the bluebottle, but he was stung close to his chest and had to be rushed to the E.R. cause he couldn't breathe.

I was apparently lucky that I was stung on my back And everything did seem fine after putting vinegar, the mark subsided and the pain went away.

Then, oh god, yesterday the mark reappears out of f'ing nowhere. I have no idea why? And from a little hook shaped mark on my back, it spread to my butt and my upper back, and it started itching like a 100x worse.

I had to go to the hospital yesterday cause it was so uncomfortable. I found out that I have an allergic reaction to its venom. Today I'm angry at this little f'er!

If you live in a tropical country BEWARE!! Their sting hurts, and they have no mercy!

OBAMA WON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'M SO HAPPY I'M CRYING!!! This feels like a historical event, and I just wanted it documented in my

life in some way. Right now I'm very proud to be an American citizen! I believe this is a stepping stone towards a better future for

the country my father was from. And I don't expect dramatic changes to happen overnight, but we're working towards a better

America. I'm so glad I'm alive to witness this memorable day in history.

I just saw a thief run away with a woman's purse. I feel like crap. I was so angry at him for stealing someone's purse. I tried shouting from inside my car. I wanted to jump out, but he jumped on another car. I told my brother to chase after him, but he didn't listen to me. There were police right there. I was telling them to do something, but they were just staring. I couldn't believe what happened. I felt so helpless. I wanted to do something, but the cops were right there. I thought they would do something. Ucch.. I wish I jumped out and did something, just so I could return the woman's purse. I cant let go of what happened-- What if that lady was paying for her child's tuition fee? What if I was that lady, and someone stole from me? Are the people around me going to be that useless? I mean so many people could have do something, but they didn't.
Why not?? Why don't people care anymore? It really bothers me that no one cares. Are we still considered humans when it doesn't seem like we have any trace of humanity left in us?

Continuation of my cosmic profile:

Your Moon Sign: Scorpio
It can be hard to trust others when you have the Moon in Scorpio because you are so sensitive to questions of power and control. You're aware of deep issues that most people don't want to face. You know what it's like to go to the very depths of emotions, both with passion and with fear. You need intensity, even if that means shaking up a relationship at times. That's because you're not satisfied with what lies on the surface. Getting to the bottom of things can disturb others (and you as well)... but it's hard to keep from going where your feelings take you. It's this emotional courage, though, that makes you such a powerful person, able to work through complex matters that most people refuse to face.
Greatest Strength: Emotional persistence
Possible Weakness: Shame about your secrets

Your Rising Sign: Aries
Aries Rising people tend to be in a hurry, not willing to sit back and wait, but naturally jumping into action as quickly as possible. You're a pioneer, a leader, the one who gets the ball rolling, even when no one else is aware there's a game to be played. You can be abrupt and impatient, even coming across aggressively since you're the one who has to make the first move. You're the sparkplug and the initiator, but if you come on too strong you sometimes can rub others the wrong way. It may be because you're used to doing things on your own, not expecting much support and unwilling to compromise. When you slow down and take others into consideration, you get support that can lighten your load.
Greatest Strength: Being a pioneer
Possible Weakness: Impatience

I need your help PLEASE.

Last week my son received a letter stating that he does not have the moral character to become a citizen. He will be deported back to South Africa because he unknowingly voted in a local election illegally.

We have until January 7, 2008 to appeal.

My family has been in this country for 10 years. My husband and I are citizens. As required by law, my son registered for Selective Service when he turned 18.

Shortly thereafter, he ran across a group of campaigners registering students to vote in the upcoming elections. They promised him that since he was registered for Selective Service, he was eligible to vote. This was not true.

At our family's citizenship interviews, our son's application was rejected after he volunteered the information that he had voted in an election. That he freely volunteered the information shows that he had no intention to defraud the government or anyone. Our many letters to the US Citizenship and Immigration Services have met with no reply. We have met with our local congressman with no result.

Part of the reasoning behind the 26th amendment of the U.S. Constitution in 1970 was that citizens who could be drafted to fight in a die for the U.S. should be able to determine its direction by voting. Can't this logic be extrapolated to include forgiveness for unintentional transgressions that hurt no one?

We will present this petition to our senator and the INS. If you feel in your heart that you can support us, please sign this petition.
