This site has a few glitches, but it's another music site that hasn't been blocked at my job yet. When it works the way it's supposed to, it's incredible. You can listen to songs in your Last.fm and Pandora favorites lists for free. It does pull in the wrong song occasionally, but I still love it overall. Maybe that will be fixed. It seems to be very new at this point. UPDATE Now it is blocked at work. Insert expletives.

It's been a while... I think I like this site. I've seen something similar before that didn't excite me. Maybe it was this site in an earlier stage of development. This has better organization than that other site did.

This is old, but OH this makes me happy. I had a flashback to being 8 years old and not having Intermediate Accounting homework to do... This is the simplest way to enjoy ROMs that I've found yet. How can this be legal?? UPDATE: I read their copyright statement and now I see how it might be legal. Once again, the internet rules.

I'm late finding this one, but I like it and it fits with the other stuff I've got, so I'm posting it... These are good inspirations for any creative people, I think, not just writers. These examples show which elements each writer found to be the most essential to his or her work. There are good little essays for each room.

Here's a little more info about the Reykjavik Arts Festival, complete with some interesting video clips. I wish more people could reach this level of strangeness in their lives without just being labeled "crazy". People might ask me "well, to what end?". I don't know, but it's exhilarating.

It's a little after-the-fact to say anything about this, but I feel like I have to bring it to someone else's attention out there. It sounds like very recently there was a serious convergence of intelligence and talent in far-off Iceland. Even I missed the disturbance in the force that must have occurred. Olafur Eliasson, Brian Eno, Bjork, and Dr. Ruth (of all people) and many other bright lights of the world were all within very short distances of each other at the Reykjavik Arts Festival, which included Experiment Marathon Reykjavík. I'm commenting on this especially to add it to the mix on FriendFeed. It's very unlike those folks to miss stuff like this. I like this article because it at least questions the motivations of the event's curators, including one of the founders of Edge.org, which is where I found out about this whole thing. There's some stuff to think about here.
