I feel sad that I have kind of abandoned StumbleUpon. I live on FriendFeed now. http://friendfeed.com/kmeelah If SU hadn't gotten blocked at work, and if it had a way to comment on posts, I might have stayed. It's still good for checking out the reputation of a given site. I haven't seen anything worthy of a Stumble that hasn't been Stumbled to death already in a long time. I have 60 subscribers at FriendFeed already in a fraction of the time it took me to get 62 fans here... I'll try to remember to check in here periodically, but it gets more and more difficult...

I've been overwhelmingly busy lately. A lot of my activity has switched over to http://friendfeed.com/kmeelah because that really is like StumbleUpon with comments, plus so much more, and it's not blocked at my job (yet). I do check this for visitors regularly still and I hope I'll get to spend more time with it again soon.

WHEN I get more time to fiddle with such things, I could put some kind of permanent redirecting post on the top of this page, or maybe I'll even go so far as to add it to my headlining self-description. I'm having this very strong feeling that I'll be spending a lot more time in FriendFeed soon. It's like StumbleUpon with comments. Let me repeat that: Stumble, Upon, With, COMMENTS.

Friends, this is the easy-button method of blogging that I'm talking about here. Like the old song says, everybody is a star... or they can be, with just a little bit of effort. As soon as I'm not so oppressed with all this work, I can put my true talents on display for the world. In the meantime, everyone kindly move your buttocks on over to FriendFeed if you have anything to say about what I say, or anything else. Just please be civil. I hope to see a few folks over there. Everyone, anyone, I *am* here, I've just been sooo busy getting back to school. I have one metric crapload of work waiting for me this semester. I've calculated that I should be done and Master's degreed by sometime in 2010. I'll be sitting down with an advisor soon to get a better pinpoint on the whole thing. My master plan is to get the heck out of Indianapolis when I'm done. I'll never find a guy to marry me if I stay here. (If any of you Indiana guys want to prove me wrong, please do send a message so we could at least go out for chai for starters. Not trying to marry anybody right away, just have to start somewhere, of course.)

I just have to register my disgust for whatever sector of humanity is responsible for these statistics I just found. I used the SearchQuilt.com that I just mentioned, which has several top search lists for different websites. Its AOL list has at the very top "Benazir Bhutto". (Side note: That's interesting, since it's America Online.) The Yahoo! Buzz list does not list her at all, but does find room for Sasquatch and Bigfoot as two separate top searches. I had to do a double-take and go look directly at buzz.yahoo.com to make sure SearchQuilt's mashup stuff wasn't just out of date. But nope, there it was. It was exactly right. That major political and historical event occurred less than a week ago, and still searches for mythical figures can beat it out. I know, this happens in some form over and over again, Paris Hilton beats out interest in global warming, but it still floors me every time. Also, I realize that AOL top searches to Yahoo! Buzz may be an apples and oranges comparison because their criteria for rank are probably different, but still, wouldn't you think Bhutto would still make #20 of the top 20 on Yahoo!? This is why I need to move to a real, full-blown blog. I'd love to take some comments from everyone about this. If it blows your mind a little bit, too, please send me a message. I need the comfort of contact with a few other thinking people.
