OK, now my funding is always iffy for the research I do so I really can see myself stuffing squirrels into interesting poses (but I would have to work with someone to make the outfits). Let's see, I could have the squirrels dressed up like the hunters who shot them, or Pirate Squirrels. My guess is that my first attempts at taxidermy of them would work well with my passion for Zombies - Undead squirrels! With some spare Erector set parts who knows, Cyborg RoboSquirrels too!

3-7, you see what I don't know about history I simply make up. Then I get confused about what it is that I know and what it was that I made up. So that is why I can just give a range of values... I know George is a good name to name your kid to increase his or her probability of becoming president. I know that kid gangs in Cleveland were a problem at the end of Prohibition and that Freeholders are the name of county commissioners in New Jersey. I also know that bananas were used by bootleggers in Ohio, Traveling Jesters went the way of the rotary dial phone in the 1930s and traveling elephant acts could be perilous.

Actually last month a major tornado tore through the town next to mine and scared the crap out of everyone in our town - but it veered off at the last second and missed us (so that would be at least three times I have been near a tornado - unless I am lying about the first two and then it would be just one).

OK, I said I was going to lay off the robot wars for a bit. So I think, what should I pick for some new humor? Days slip by. I don't know if it was the meeting yesterday (a governor, two senators and a hoard of county commissioners, mayors, council members and various other policy wonks), but this morning I thought "Banana Humor." Seems simple and appropriate for these pages. I like bananas and I like humor. Well I start with a google search for banana humor - Oh the horror.

First up - this image has graced many a stumbleupon page so pardon the repeat:

I find bananas stripping kind of odd because they are not clothes, the peel is skin. So this is really some banana extreme fetish. EEWWW.

Next was this bit o' humor:

Weird, strange and completely unfunny. Come on. Bananas are the basis for Bugs Bunny humor, Buster Keaton type stunts. A century of visual art should have projected the bananas into the A-list of humor props. Not on the internet.

Exhibit B:

I don't really get it. Bananas should be funny.

My searches hit upon that old kids' show, Bananas in Pajamas (I never believed in suppressed memories until I saw those images and realized how successfully my psyche had hidden away memories of this Australian nightmare - I think this export was revenge for all the invasive species that the rest of the world has given the land down under). I will spare you any images of Bananas in Pajamas.

Ok, normally I ignore the politics and spammers and general riff-raff of this site. But what is up with the hundreds of robo-stumblers with avatars of bikini clad women with their homes listed as China and all started on October 27, 2007? Is this the first round of the robot wars? Am I too late in my preparations? Or is it some sleazy attempt to manipulate this site for pathetic advertising to score links? (I kinda hope it is the robots - at least it would be more fun fighting them...). Seriously, whoever is doing this, do you think that adding a sexy avatar and a name like heather1980 will get us to go to the page and then see a bunch of worthless links and click on them figuring that if this blond bikini clad Chinese person likes them, then that is reason enough for me to click too?

And I just have to tell you that I hate it when the Moon starts up at night. Constantly Mooning, it is just so disturbing. Good thing the moon only does this in the winter. In the summer I would be able to sleep if those darn cicadas would stop telling me things I should do.

...You know, my kindergarten teacher would often say, "Show and Tell doesn't mean telling everything..." Maybe I should have listened to her better (although I think she secretly liked my Show and Tells better than everyone else's). No cicadas talk to me and the moon moves quietly on the celestial railroad track. Honest. Just ignore that first part.
