The Two-Party System...is a myth that allows each party to publicly blame the other while they laugh together in private. Republicans represent the rich, while Democrats represent the poor...RIIIIIIGHT.

Consider this: how many decisions made by Congress significantly affect anyone in Congress?

Support for public schools? No.

The war in Iraq? Nope.

How about changes to Social Security? Nada.

Now...how many decisions NOT made by Congress would affect the wealth and well-being of members of Congress?

Regulation of automobile fuel prices? Yes.

Significant income tax reform? Yep.

Term limits for Congress? Most definitely.

This is not a Ford/Chevy decision folks...don't put your faith in one party because they support a few moral or financial issues that are important to you. Choose your beliefs -- don't let McDonald's sell you a burger with ketchup if you don't like it, and don't let political parties establish your personal belief system.

Ask yourself if the teenage daughter of a Republican Senator would be allowed to keep her baby if it meant that he would lose a bid for re-election.

Ask yourself if the Democratic Senator spends a significant amount of time in low-rent neighborhoods relating to the common people that he defends on television.

Now ask yourself if you want over-paid, over-pensioned, and over-respected humans dictating your worth and the worth of your beliefs. I don't.

"An honest politician cannot be elected by the American public."
