She was 100 yards from our truck at Pier 21, Port of Galveston.
I admired her every time I had to go to the God forsaken porta-potty.
Made it less horrid.
Built in 1877. Beautiful.
I can't imagine what she's seen.



I think I liked it down there, it was a good combination of seedy and sweet.





















So,
It turned to fall in the few days that I was away.
The yellow was so bright and the oranges were all tangerine, the greens all inky and deep.
It dazzled me, took my eye away from the road.
I felt sorry for myself earlier but I'm over it.
I had to find something nice to say.

This fucking hotel didn't set the automated wake up caller back and I showed up in the lobby this morning, where we meet at 8 am and it's 6:45.
I am so pissed.
