Seths Blog: Which comes first, the product or the marketing?

Once again Seth hit's the nail on the head. The product and marketing isn't a question of which came first, the chicken or the egg? Great marketing is about figuring out the needs of your customers and delivering a product or service to meet it.

Marketing shouldn't be a prop to sell a product after the fact. Which begs the question, why do so many products and services start out that way? I don't think it's lack of imagination, but perhaps an unwillingness or inability to reveal the emotional desires buried within people.
