On the quiet, the US is legalising marijuana - Times Online

Well, in the greater picture of history, it was nothing if not inevitable.
Not that anyone cares what I think, but...Is it a good idea? hell, who knows. There was a time when pot heads and other lethargic sheep would have stood out among others, but in these crazy times, in these crazy broke ass times, I think they would just blend in.
I used to partake, I used to enjoy. But that time is decades passed. I don't think I could handle it if I tried. And I really don't want to. I have kids now, I have to watch over them, watch out for them and don't look forward to spending time arguing with them as to why, if its legal, they shouldn't numb their minds from all the other bull shit this world is throwing their way. I don't look forward to asking people a serious question and receiving a dull smile in return, I don't look forward to the times I really need to communicate, and receive a stupid half moon stare in return as if being looked through. Not that being looked through doesn't happen now, but that's just out of either contempt or a lack of caring. I'm talking about the kind of looking through that happens when your getting your ticket punched by a goat in a conductor's uniform while at your amazing window seat aboard that lazy train through the looking glass and everything in the world seems to fall into place, just right, and maybe all of your problems are just chess pieces moving their way around the board that is your universe. But in reality your being stared at by everyone else in line behind you at the bank because you are high and you just don't even care how you look - or that everyone in front of you has moved - 5 minutes ago.

All in all, when pot is finally legalized, it's going to be the biggest anticlimactic let down this side of Woodstock. It's an open invitation for the government, under whose regulation it will fall, to tax its sale however it wants, and lower its quality until it barely resembles anything being wheezed by "weed connoisseurs" today. It will even grant the judicial system the right to impose, if not prison time, very harsh fines for those infringing upon the now government controlled business.
That's cool too. I don't mind. It won't affect me in that respect.
Prohibition isn't working. Make it economically sustainable. Hahaha gullible suckers.

Just please please please, stay indoors where you won't inflict intellectual harm on people. The argument that pot really does no harm to people is - well - kind of stupid. I've been one of those, I deal with them on occasion. My God, do you really think you remain unaffected by it? Please! And people coming off of it just turn into crabby stupid people. Even the argument that people really don't get into accidents while under the influence it just ridiculous. The fact is that it is other people avoiding the slow driving day dreaming stoner that get into the accidents.

Although I agree to its medicinal use, compassion compels me to agree that if your body is in such bad shape as to require weed, then for goodness sake, you should be allowed to take whatever you want. At that point, your problems are a bit more immediate than what soap you should buy. Hell, that's the kind of situation that the Make-A-Wish Foundation was made for. At that level of suffering, whether its temporary or at the end of life, human decency brings to bear a set of privileges that the rest of the "healthy" minions are forbidden to enjoy. They have to wait - chances are extraordinarily good that their time will come, because sooner than later our bodies have had enough. How lucky can one be to meet that white light without suffering.

So, to wrap (or roll) this rant, argument, or whatever you choose to see it as up, I have to say I don't know anyone personally or otherwise who met their end exclusively to this otherwise useful weed. But I have seen it destroy the drive of promising individuals, ruin families, make major idiots of countless minor idiots, and know it to be the reason for lying, cheating, stealing, and yes even murders. Legalizing it will not solve those problems. When times get especially difficult people will look for a way to escape. But as Ben Franklin said; "everything in moderation". Americans? Doing things in moderation? Whatever happens because of this my friends, all I can say is - you must have wanted it that way.

Generally speaking, when it comes down to who do you turn to when you have computer questions, there are the software specialists, programmers, and then there are hardware specialists. In the rarest of occasions you might find a master of software and hardware. Programmers are just in a league of their own (you can spot a programmer in an instant - when you get to know one even for a few minutes, you'll know what I mean). When it comes to hardware, it is very difficult to keep up for the average person. It just changes so fast it's literally daily.
This site specializes in video adapters in every aspect. Very very highly recommended.

Das Ich, a german Death Art Band is....hmmmm....no words can describe them. I've been a fan for nearly a decade. Their lyrics are awesome, however if you can't understand German, don't worry, the music can drive you like a plump turkey on a bass pumpkin all over town.
