You know, the more I think about it, the more I truly believe there would be more people willing to be truly tolerant of other cultures if folks from those other cultures would simply SHUT UP. I think if more people live their lives without trying to force their ideologies down the pie holes of the rest of the folks on the planet trying to mind their own business, there would be much less confrontation.

Any time a large group of people is not on the same page with the words, ideas, and/or lifestyles of another group of people, SOMEONE will be oppressed, repressed, belittled, offended, or discriminated against. It can't be avoided. Not being allowed to do something you believe is the right thing to do (things that are illegal and/or sick and wrong) is a form of discrimination, but such discrimination is necessary.

You simply CAN NOT make a few dozen, hundred, or thousand, people from varying backgrounds/cultures agree on a single topic. Yet, there are some that truly believe they can force several MILLION or BILLION people to convert to their belief system (and, in some cases, kill them if they don't)??

It simply ain't gonna happen.

If you feel strongly about a cause, making others miserable by:
* Screaming
* dressing up in ridiculous outfits
* spitting upon folks
* lying
* preventing others from going about their daily business
* threatening, or
* performing terrorist acts by blowing up things and killing people...

might get you in print, on television, or on YouTube. It will probably, however, do little more than piss off more people than you would win over if you behaved in a civilized manner.

The glass is here.
It has been sorted.

Some has been cut and is occupying the shelf in my kiln.

A round coaster with our initial in the center is in the making.

Will I be successful in my first official fusing project? Only the Kiln Fairy knows for sure (well, I'll know in the morning).
