Real economics and deep thininkg about economic growth from the top economist of new growth theory, not the pop economics of shallow thinkers these days. New growth emphasizes the role of ideas and innovation, which I agree is the key driver.

Found a great music at Kompoz. Kompoz enables musicians to create a music together online. If you are a guitarist, you record a guitar line, and people will add bass, vocal, drums, etc. This is an excellent use of Internet.

Division of labor is a very natural kind of collaboration. Collaboration (or democracy as some people seem to believe) is not everyone doing the same things or leaderless organization. Everyone is gifted differently. Related thoughts of mine at http://slowblogger.com/2008/03/music-labels-and-division-of-labor.html and http://slowblogger.com/2008/03/division-of-labor-is-alive-and-well-in.html

New insights on inequality. Inequality in the US has not been growing as much as economists say it has, when you consider the decreased costs of goods that poor people tend to buy.

Larry Page is becoming a general innovator, not just Google leader. He may have been frustrated because people were not very excited about his ideas. But that's what every innovator has to go through. At least Google has money.

By the way, will Google become a diversified company entering energy business?
