I tried to say something sarcastic, but then I just got tongue-tied--which is good, because I want to say this straightforwardly as possible. Political correctness, enemy of red-blooded folks everywhere, exists because sometimes politically incorrect terms are offensive. They're not offensive because "people need to toughen up," they're offensive because our world is changing and sometimes our words have to change, too.

To be fair, this response isn't just to this website, but a whole slew of web sites like it that I've had to stumble through recently. So off to go change my settings, because this stuff is just annoying.
