Yes, I must be crazy. My husband and I have been training for a long distance cycling event since June. We are the mentors for our local Team in Training cycle team. TNT is the main fundraising program for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Each team member has pledged to raise a minimum of $4,100 while training for a century (100 mile) bike ride.

We travel out to Tucson, AZ on Thursday, November 15th. Our ride, which is acutally 109 miles, takes place on Saturday, November 17th. We fly back in to Florida�at 11:30 PM on the 18th. I turn 44 years old on the 19th - what a cool birthday present being able to participate in the�El Tour de Tucson bike ride!�

My husband�and I certainly enjoyed being mentors for the Leukemia Society's Team in Training cycle team. This year marks the 25th anniversary of the El Tour de Tucson and the ride organizers are estimating that between 9,000 and 11,000 bikers will be in attendance.The route that this ride covers includes two dry river beds where you must get off your bike and carry it across to the other side to get back to the paved road.�
