We had a 3.2 magnitude earthquake here tonight. The news says "Greater Los Angeles," but the epicenter was actually right here in Oxnard.

Actually, I think the epicenter was right here under my house!!

Fellow Stumbler Setabnevets with my kids and I on Sunday, September 20th...

The cane is Rachel's, by the way... not Steven's...

Updating to add a little bit of detail about Steven's visit with us...

Steven chose one of the busiest weeks of our lives to come visit! During the time he was here, he attended a flute recital, a high school football game (Rachel plays with the marching band), a jazz jam session, and joined us on a 3 day camping trip at Lake Cachuma.

While I was at work during the day, Steven cleaned my back patio, worked on my lawn, cleaned up my patio furniture (which I thought was junk - now it is beautiful!), and helped out with the kids. He picked Vaughan up from school and made sure he did his homework. Steven did all this while recovering from a horrible case of jetlag.

Not exactly everyone's idea of a perfect vacation - haha!

Steven, you are an amazing, wonderful man. Thank you for the time we got to spend together; thank you for the beautiful dinner, for your friendship and advice, for the emotional support, and thank you for the vegemite :)

Come back any time. We love you.

My life has been a whirlwind lately, but I was blessed with a visit from a stranger from afar... well, not really a stranger as we have been friends here on SU for 2 or 3 years now... but I hope to get my act together in the next few days and post a couple of pics taken during our visit from fellow stumbler Setabnevets :)
