After some six months, I'm continuing... I did my best to waste some time on so called social networking sites, just to see if anything changed. I didn't say one word there, but I received several proposals... It's amazing how little effort it takes to find a date on the Net. Finding really wonderful people who can inspire you, change your world, become close friends, and explore the electronic frontier with you, is a completely different story, based on completely different premises than 'networking websites' which are not more than personals on the Net: one pathetic person looking for another. That has nothing to do with the Net, and really meeting people online.

A friend of mine died last week. I don't think I've ever seen him, but the sound of his voice will stay in my mind forever. We met some five years ago in a voice chat room. I can't say we were close, but sometimes we talked for hours. He was a wonderful story teller, and he laughed a lot.

A Japanese girl, whom I would certainly like to know better, left me the message about Roger's death, and I passed it on to an Italian friend... In Honor of his memory we will have a room open Wednesday November 29th... That's what the message said, and that he was a special guy to us all.

I know he didn't believe in anything like 'the Internet psychology'. People don't become cartoon characters on the Net, unless they were before. That would made him laugh. He'd compose himself and say: "But, they had to come here to find out." He was fun to be with, insightful, many people loved him, all over the world.
