Here is a little something someone sent me that is indisputable mathematical logic. It also made me Laugh Out Loud. This is a strictly mathematical viewpoint...it goes like this:

What Makes 100%? What does it mean to give MORE than 100%? Ever wonder about those people who say they are giving more than 100%? We have all been to those meetings where someone wants you to give over 100%. How about achieving 103%? What makes up 100% in life?

Here's a little mathematical formula that might help you answer these questions:

If:
A B C D E F G H I J K L M N O P Q R S T U V W X Y Z

is represented as:
1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 10 11 12 13 14 15 16 17 18 19 20 21 22 23 24 25 26.

Then:

H-A-R-D-W-O-R-K
8+1+ 18+4+23+15+18+11 = 98%

and

K-N-O-W-L-E-D-G-E
11+14+15+23+12+5+4+7+5 = 96%

But ,

A-T-T-I-T-U-D-E
1+20+20+9+20+21+4+5 = 100%

And,

B-U-L-L-S-H-I-T
2+21+12+12+19+8+9+20 = 103%

AND, look how far ass kissing will take you.

A-S-S-K-I-S-S-I-N-G
1+19+19+11+9+19+19+9+14+7 = 118%

So, one can conclude with mathematical certainty that While Hard work and Knowledge will get you close, and Attitude will get you there, its the Bullshit and Ass kissing that will put you over the top.

Prairie Summer

I belong to a Street Team on Etsy, The Boomers and Beyond, for anyone who is over 40. A great mix of people from all over the world and who have all kinds of various talents. They are having a competition for the members involving ACEO's. ACEO stands for 'Art Cards, Editions and Originals'. They are collectible miniature artworks that can be created in any variety of media - originals or prints. The only rule is that they measure 3.5 x 2.5 inches. I hadn't picked up a paint brush for many years but this gave me incentive to give it a go. This is what I came up with, I had to force myself to quit "touching it up", I kept changing this or that! But I thought I'd post it here either for your enjoyment or amusement, your choice!

Freshman forward Michael Beasley became the first player in Big 12 history to win any weekly award in four straight weeks on Monday, as he was selected as the Phillips 66 Big 12 Rookie of the Week after averaging 31.0 points and 16.0 rebounds in two games last week.

Beasley's six rookie honors this season is tied for the most in Big 12 history with Texas' Kevin Durant (2006-07). The player of the week award is also Beasley's eighth overall this season after he earned Rookie of the Week honors on Nov. 19, 2007, Dec. 26, 2007, Jan. 28, 2008 and Feb. 4, 2008, Feb. 11, 2008 and Player of the Week accolades on Nov. 12, 2007 and Jan. 14, 2008

Cottoneyed Peas

INGREDIENTS:
6 slices bacon
3 (15.5 ounce) cans jalapeno
black-eyed peas
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced
tomatoes with green chile
peppers

1/2 small onion, chopped
2 stalks celery, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 fresh jalapeno peppers,
seeded and chopped (optional)
salt and pepper to taste
DIRECTIONS:
1. Brown the bacon in a skillet over medium heat until crispy; drain, crumble, and set aside.
2. In a large saucepan, combine the canned black-eyed peas, canned tomatoes, onion, celery, garlic, and jalapeno peppers. Cook over medium heat until the celery and onion are tender. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Add crumbled bacon before serving.
