October 5th 2007

We've been back from our holiday in Turkey now for two over two weeks and there's been no time to update our webpage. Decorating the kitchen and getting the garden tidy for winter has taken precedence. Once thats done we're concentrating on a Tap Dance performance at the Bridges Community Centre in Monmouth and a weekend of Ballroom dancing in Blackpool.

Alastair got back yesterday after a fantastic sailing trip. He's wrenched his back though and is in great pain from that plus his usual shoulder problems.

Spent a day geocaching and trigpointing in the Black Mountains. Had a fab day out even though the weather wasn't great because it meant there were less people about. Walked about 13 miles. The photo was taken at Pen-Allt-mawr trig point.

Took Booboo for a walk at Whitestone and bumped into my brother and his wife who I'd not seen for ages what with me being the "black sheep" and all that. We had quite a nice chat and caught up with a few things and it was lovely to see them after all this time.

Alastairs away for 10 day on a sailing trip and why is it that every time he goes away everything goes wrong.

Yesterday I was happily watching TV when the picture started flickering, then whilst pressing buttons to see if I could rectify things I lost all picture. Thankfully there is still sound so I can listen to the radio which is much better than TV anyway.

This morning my neighbour asked to use my washing machine as her emersion heated was on the blink meaning she couldn't use hers. I gladly said she could and she brought round a small load. Halfway through the cycle the machine didn't want to drain and spin so I had to manually turn the dial to get rid of the water and take it back to her unrinsed and soaking wet. At least her machine would still spin.

Hopefully due to me breaking the hedge cutter before all this means that that's the three things that are going to go wrong for a while.

Right. Looks like I'm going to start using Stumble Upon as my main Blog. The previous one I was using has decided to start charging at the end of the year so I've sent them "out the door".
I've been using stumble upon to keep a record of some interesting web sites and photo's so I'll see how it goes at being my online diary. Just in case any one is at all interested.
