I never do any of it anymore. Haven't even seen this page in months. I came, I saw, and I'm leaving this so I don't have to come back for many more months.

Aside from my own issues on what it has become, I hate being out and about in the world and hearing a bunch of marketing twats explain this amazing web2 marketing tool to other marketing twats who barely know how to use the internet.

That is all.

How can it be?!?

I've decided I am absolutely bored with the internet. And I had been having such fun with it. I have such faith in the internet! Having the truth immediately verifiable at our fingertips in exchange for a few minutes of independent thought is the single greatest aspect of our civilization at this moment. Comparatively few make use of it. I think I'll get over it. Right now the internet makes by brain skip. Like a record- not a little girl in a short skirt, unfortunately.

I'm on it. I usually just kind of leave my email open, maybe catch up on the most necessary news. I don't care about the humor. I don't care about the lame-ass blogs, or the next half-second in tech. I don't care about the National Academies, crises, big business. I don't care about naked women. I don't care about our fucking chief justice. I don't care about so-called art, design, photography, animation, comic bullshit. I certainly don't care about music or movies- I thankfully keep competent people around me so that I can just absorb those. I don't care about the government, which is glaringly predictable- all of them. Stop getting so fired up about the wrong things. I don't care about the other stumblers- they're real but they're not.

But I'm sure I'll get over it.

In the meantime, I feel compelled to apologize to the people who come to my page. Repeatedly, even! I have nothing new to offer. It's a stale old list of small amusements from the period of my descent.

Sorry I haven't been posting. I just moved a couple weeks ago, and am stealing internet from wherever I can. I've also been travelling down south to see my family, and will have to do it again this weekend due to death, and yet again a couple weeks after that due to another stupid holiday. Blah.

I have some good ideas for groups.

If anyone would like to sponsor me, I would be most appreciative. I would have given my money to StumbleUpon a long time ago if I had any. One day when I do have some, I'll sponsor other broke stumblers.

I haven't actually posted this where I'm suppposed to look for a sponsor, but I figured someone might come by my page and think it's worth something. I think I would kind of rather be sponsored by someone who likes me and keeps coming back than a total stranger. Maybe it doesn't really matter.

Next time you're bored and have nothing to do, go to the ballet. (Except it's summer, so unless you live somewhere spectacular, or just near a major company, you're S.O.L until fall. Lots of times there will be summer performances, or touring companies coming to you though, so find out.) Going to the ballet- the sore subject of excedrin commercials and gender role sitcom humor! Here are some of George Balanchine's ballets. If you've never been, then he is a good introduction, saucy. Go see a mixed bill rather than a three-act. Work you're tele-visioned mind up to it. Lots of companies do his stuff on a regular basis. (I've purposely neglected The Nutcracker, because that is most people's only experience with ballet.)
No self-promotion, just spreading the word. A fun way to find active people, and put some of your friends out there for other stumblers to see.

alot | a lot | allot
The first form is a misspelling of a lot, and is not a real word.
The second form means "much" or "many", as in "He had a lot of money and a lot of friends."
The third form is similar in meaning to "allocate", as in "He planned to allot some of his money for the buying of gifts for his friends."

Sorry to be such a bitch, but I can only be bombarded by the rampant use of alot for a lot so many times in a day before I go crazy. I understand that in the lickety-split frenzy of touch-typing, the space bar is sometimes missed, but this goes well beyond mere typos.
