This website is where I post my own attempts at photographing the local landscape and it also aims to keep cyril campbell's memory and photography alive. I am a website developer living in Harrogate, North Yorkshire (UK) with my wonderful wife and our two gorgeous sons.

Cyril Campbell, my granddad, was a sign writer who lived in Halifax with his wife and three children. Photography was his lifelong passion.

Absolutely Nothing began in May 2000. Originally the imagery comprised of oil paintings and sketches. Over time, and inspired by my grandfather, photography became the medium of choice."

A great site for photography and nature lovers, and somewhere along the way there is commentary in the newsletter menu...I have always enjoyed this site and somehow lost track of the bits I liked and look forward to browsing through again while seeing the new additions too,
You must remove any sensitivity to any loss because losses are of themselves illusions. It is in losing your illusions that you find your inner spark, your deity and your legacy. It cannot be otherwise. You asked for choices, you will have them. Assume the choice to say, do, go where you go, whatever is the opposition from the outside world.

Question: "What about the children?"

Do not worry about them or each other. Take care of yourself. This is the condition of the completion of the Light. Any thoughts that you fear as an issue or question in relation to a relative, or in relation to an object, or in relation to possessions, or in relation to connections would only reinforce these issues and separate you from your inner being. The challenge will be to agree to turn your awareness to be inside when you see things that formed the fabric of your lives disappear one after other.
"Introduction

Vahan Bego is a mysterious man. He doesn't generally give interviews and he doesn't make public appearances, except in a mask at Sweet Noise Concerts. It is largely thanks to the projects he has worked on with this band that Polish audiences have become more familiar with him. When he works on a new project he holes up in places that nobody knows, where he can be completely alone. Before his work appears in public he makes a long and careful observation of the place where it is to be exhibited. Few people know him well, for few people have the opportunity to meet him or speak to him face to face. He describes himself as a restless soul open to the world he finds himself in. However, you can only really get a glimpse of what he is really like not when you look at his work, but rather when you talk with him, about life, the world and his future.

After months of waiting, countless emails to Vahan and pestering people who could in any way help me make contact with him, I finally managed to conduct a short but intensive interview with him. I assure you that Vahan Bego is not just a talented artist, but also an unusually engaging and interesting person, who can be an inspiration to all who spend a little bit of time with him." The interview is on the page.

"Nine tells the story of Guido Contini (Daniel Day-Lewis), a world famous film director as he confronts an epic mid-life crisis with both creative and personal problems. He must balance the many women of his life, including his wife (Marion Cotillard), his mistress (Penelope Cruz), his film star muse (Nicole Kidman), his confidant and costume designer (Judi Dench), an American fashion journalist (Kate Hudson), the whore from his youth (Fergie) and his mother (Sophia Loren).

The original 1982 Broadway production of NINE, with music and lyrics by Maury Yeston, won five Tony Awards including Best Musical." More on the site.

I'm not keen on the musical side of this film but can't resist seeing any movie with Sophia Loren and Judi Dench. Most great Broadway musicals just don't really play out that great on film, even "Chicago" which got much acclaim and box office success, didn't work for me. The belting out of songs which works so well on stage comes off as a distraction from the movie in most cases for me. I still look forward to seeing this in December, for Judi and Sophia.
