Noel Mewton-Wood had the most fairytale like pianissimos that are possible on the piano. Check it out, you won't be dissapointed! He could play very fiery as well, without loosing control of the clarity of the sound. NM-W ranks to the really great poets in pianistic land, and is completely on par with only the greatest: Sviatoslav Richter, Wladimir Sofronitsky, Arturo Bendetti Michelangeli, Edwin Fischer, Enrico Pace, Gy�rgy Cziffra and Arthur Rubinstein.
If I would be forced to move to an island and could only take recordings with me of one pianist, Noel Mewton-Wood would be my one and only choice!!! Great Chopin, Tchaikovsky, Schumann, Beethoven (only 4th) Piano Concertos!!!

What Do You Think?

If you could spend one hour doing absolutely anything,
what would you do?

My answer:

I would prefer the making possible of the impossible: beeing able
to be in a family reunion including my dear mother (she died in a fatal accident
in 1988 in France) and my 2 dear grandparents, (they died in the 1990/2000's).
These are 3 of the most precious family members to whom I owe
my undying enthusiasm for classical music.
For the rest I would like to be 'surprised' with other family members
who died during my lifetime, anybody is welcome.
I think we would have a lot to talk about, so the hour probably would not suffice...
if possible I would like to turn on an imaginary knob called
"dream time", in which every second can become a minute, or even an hour, or a day...or...
