I'm not really much of the blog for blog's sake type of person. If I wanted to do this type of stuff I'd just use livejournal. But I just watched Seven Pounds, the movie starring Will Smith, and it is by far the best movie I have ever seen him put out. His acting, and the storyline were amazing. It probably won't make the money to be acclaimed this, but I'm going to it call it my personal 'best movie of 2008.'

So, if you haven't seen it, you should go see it.

What a great way to parallel old wars with new settings and agendas. Remember WWII had a profit seeking agenda just as the war on iraq does. Just because we were fighting tyranny and imposing our ideas on other countries doesn't mean we weren't establishing corporate dominance, as we see in Iraq today.

These companies are a paradox. We can't live with them because of the immoral profit seeking policies they enlist, but we need their business to keep our economy afloat because they have a significant influence on production, consumption, and labor. Much like a leach they do both harm and good, and they're hard to get off without doing more damage.
