this quote although frequently used on the net, is only partially attributable to Lincoln . . . The quotes were published in 1942 by William J. H. Boetcker, a Presbyterian minister. He released a pamphlet titled Lincoln On Limitations, which did include a Lincoln quote, but also added 10 statements written by Boetcker himself.

Was cutting the grass today, had this little rotation going, mow, sprinkle, rake, mow sprinkle rake. . . weather splendid, ipod in place, mind drifting . . . began to vaguely process a conversation some nights back with nedreck about aerospace . . it had triggered something in me. Memory . . . taking me to a familiar place, comfortable. It was long ago and I was only 12. My father there and an air of excitement surrounded him. It was to span about 8 years when he died an early death. During that time, he had a clarity about him which came from an idea. He took the idea and started a company, a corporation. As my brothers left school, they joined too and my mother . . . and then me. We worked and then every night, we would meet at a restaurant, an Italian restaurant. Our conversation? The company. . . space program . . . biomedical harness, moon shot, space walk, manned space, NASA, . . It was a catalyst for our family and as I stood there in the mist, breathing the smell of wet grass, I thought about the beautiful new building we eventually built, and the pasture which bordered it it and the horses that grazed there. My father never saw that facility and he never saw a moon landing. I went back to that site again and again when I would visit the west coast . . . it became empty, surrounded by many buildings . . grass dying and then it was boarded up . . . finally, gone, torn down. I never knew what happened to our company until today when I did what somehow had never occurred to me until that moment in the yard . . . I googled it and this is what you see on the link. The second link shows our biomedical harness although time has dulled my memory and I couldn't tell you which one it is. . . the flat one I suppose. My first reaction was pure delight in seeing the fruits of our labor withstanding the test of time but after watching the videos, I found myself muttering "who the heck is Howard Lind and what does he know about our company . . . If you take the time to browse this site, remember that my father developed this product in 1956 . . . any way you look at it, he was ahead of his time. Fra Angelico - Last Supper - ArtinthePicture.com

This depiction of the Last Supper by Fra Angelico was painted in 1446, think of it. In it, Christ is seen serving the elements to his disciples, which seems more in keeping with what we know of him than the traditional scene where he is seated among them. The upper room has a primitive quality which lends authenticity but Jesus has just washed their feet and I wonder if they knelt. I believe there was plenty of kneeling, but by angels who no doubt filled the room.

A great deal of artistic content, maybe even a majority, has centered around Christianity throughout the centuries, but today? You're a nut case to bring it up

Was looking at some colors for my house exterior and ran across this . . not for the house, but to look at. Here is the color chart from the period and style of the house. Can't seem to come to a timely decision

Also on the subject of home improvement is this trellis I ran across. Been hearing more about of bamboo as it's strong, prolific, and pretty good cost-wise. It's also very beautiful for flooring, cabinets, and what I'm looking for, fencing. Using this would save a tree or two, so hey
