If ever one had to look at the way we exist in the world today, this movie certainly gives you food for thought. Brian Dunning does a great job at opening up one's eyes a little (or a lot!) at what people readily accept as 'fact' or 'truth'. Pseudo-intellectuals telling us what is right wrong, good or bad have infiltrated the very fabric of the human essence - our ability and willingness to question. I urge anyone with (or even without) a conscience to watch this movie. It will be the most fascinating 40mins you might have spent in a while.

Learning and communicating requires an ability to read, write and locate information. Today's technology driven society also requires digital literacy, which means that an individual can read and write digitally in order to 'access the Internet; find, manage and edit digital information; join in communications; and otherwise engage with an online information and communications network...' (Blackall, L 2005).

The term 'multiliteracies' was coined to describe what constitutes literacy in today's world. Literacy has in the past been 'centred on language' but with the introduction and use of new technologies and visual texts into school literacies and home literacies, we now encounter, use and interpret multiple kinds of literacies which are embedded in multimodal texts.
