This is such Bullshit! The author(John Calvin?) totally misleads people from the clear intent the author of Acts(Luke?) has in describing the 1st Church in Jerusalem.
"Neither was there among them that lacked: for as many as were possessors of lands or houses sold them. and brought the prices of the things that were sold,...."
-Clearly describes a socialist, communal society, a community that Jesus must have wanted as part of his "Kingdom" that he was preaching. Read Acts 2:44. "All believers were together and had everything in common."
