Now I'm being sentimental! you're not supposed to be like that with internet friends. Most people just collect friends on MySpace, FaceBook,SU and whatever and show off their collections. but do they REALLY care about these "friends" they've never seen, and probably never will? Well, I do care, at least for some of them. Rain, or Serendipity7 is one of these really special friends. I know she's sick with some malady of which I don't remember the name. I know she's on meds, and was hospitalized more than once since we've added each other to our friends' lists and started a dialog. And now, she hasn't been online for about two weeks. Ans doesn't reply to my little messages. I hope somebody could tell me that she's just gone somewhere for convalescence...

visited Raine's (aka Serendipity7) blog again today. I found a new post which i want to share with you all:
Well, little Ms. Raine is up and talking. She called and told me not to come in so early that she was much better. They'll be moving her out of ICU into a room on the cardiac floor about 9:00AM. If all goes well, she will be home Sat. or Sunday.

Thank you for all your notes of concern and prayers. I've made her a poster and copied all your messages on it for her. I didn't know she knew so many people and thank you for your kindness to me, Chloe

Between Christmas & New Year, I listen to the radio while drinking my coffee and caressing my cat, Jo's, back. On the air is Bernard Kouchner, France's foreign minister. A veteran of the may 1968 students' riots, founder of Medecins Sans Frontières, Socialist(was? Is?what is it?) And he sounds so full of s..t, so full of himself...well, another regular politix man. Do you remember "The Cream"'s song, POLITICIAN ?
....
"I supporte the left
So I'm leanin' to the right"
...
Well, anyway, what does this being left or right mean today? Can you say Fidel Castro is Left? only because what he does to the Cubans is definitely NOT RIGHT? Or can you say that the french Socialists are Right, because they do not really represent anything of the LEFT? but, nothing is LEFT from their leftiist ideas...Left and right, in Israel are words. and 4 letter words at that. Can you imagine? Ehud Olmert and Ehud Barak called LEFTIISTs by the rightwingers...They even called that Arik Sharon by that bad name.So let's quit using these words and start using others, like non-violence, human rights, no exploitation ( neither of your neighbor nor of other countries and people), reciprocal help and support....
I know I'm dreaming here. YES! I HAVE A DREAM, a world with no politicians. It's a dream that I know I'll have till 15000 years after I'm dead. A dream I will never see coming true. But I like it anyway

I've stumbled upon these lines:

"Are you a God?" they asked the Buddha. "No," he replied.

Are you an angel, then?" "No."

"A saint?" "No."

"Then what are you?"

Replied the Buddha, "I am awake."

I've met quite a few Buddhists , in Paris and even here, in the Perigord, where they have a few centers.
And I thought to myself,"oh dear! they claim to be quite illuminated, and well on the way to ultimate knowledge. Then why aren't they as humble as the Buddha? Trying hard to tell others what is right and what is wrong." And I asked myself, why is it the the Japanese Buddhist current so despise the Tibetan current?... And I saw them get into their SUV and go back home, to their bourgeois life, the race for money, success, power. Is a new age upon us?

Mistrust those in whom the impulse to punish is strong. -Friedrich Nietzsche
Yeah! Nietsche said that. But Everywhere you look, nobody's ever heard that, understood that, thought about that , acted according to that saying. Just take a look at the world's leaders, from George W. to Putin, From Nicolas Sarkozy to Ehud Olmert, From Ismail Haniyeh to Bibi Netanyahou....

A propos rains.... Yesterday i was practically praying for rain. This morning i woke up to a rainstorm with winds that have lifted the tiles on my old old old roof. What woke me up was the sound of water dripping on the ceiling above my head. Lucky it lasted for only 1 hour...Even though it is nice and warm inside, i'd hate to spend my time in my swimming trunks.... Waiting for may to fix the roof.
Prez Nico Sarcozzy ( why does he insist on being called Nicolas Sarkozy? That is not a mafiozi name after all )Wants the french to be "a people of owners" and also wants to get rid of the welfare system. Well Nicollo! Why not have concentration camps for the lower and middle classes? This way you can get rid of the poverty problem and have a society of wealthy people able to pay for education for their kids, healthcare for the rich, and won't need public transportation. But, hey, a flaw in your golden plan. Who will work? Who actually will help you be rich? And without the poorer, how can you enjoy being rich? Rich is compared to the poorer. Without the poor, there's no rich. You can be as rich as Bill, but the wind can blow the roof of your 50 million house too. And then, who will be there to fix it?

This morning i went for a walk under the rain. Jo, my cat, leading the way. He doesn't mind rain. And i think it was time, at last, for the rains to come. Summer here, in the south-west of France, was too wet. It has ruined at lot of crops. Not that I am a farmer, i don't grow much in my garden.but a few herbs, apples, pears, cherries and blackberries. But being on welfare for the moment, I think of the prices of veggies me and many people around me have to pay. My neighbors are all retired farmers and they all grow vegetables in their gardens. And the summer rains have ruined their gardens. Now fall's been too dry.... If the rains start now, maybe they can save the day. Then we need winter to be wet and cold, and snow will be welcome too ( especially for taking pictures. and taking walks in the woods with Jo)...Then let the spring be warm and not too dry, so the woods will again be full of life. and the birds and squirrels, and deer, and foxes and the rest of them wild animals around here have a lot to eat. And the summer? I hope it will be nice and warm, not too hot, and with occational showers and august rainstorms ( so we can collect tons of mushrooms.....
