Just dicovered a hidden benefit of StumbleUpon: "insider" traveltips!

My girlfriend & I are leaving for Prague tomorrow: a short message to kolmis, who's from Prague, and we get a nice set of suggestions, complete with Mapy-links and tips on how to handle cab-drivers ;-).

So if anyone is planning on traveling to or through Belgium, do ask. (But hurry up, atm. it's still shiny weather, but it will get cold&rainy fast).

By the way, I'm impressed with the new SU-interface: more motivation to revamp this as a 'blog'-like thingy instead of a semi-personal linkroll.

Finally some sensible talk comming from 'trans alpina': why doesn't the European Commission take an example after a violent, anti-democratic, mustard gas-wielding powermonger.

If I may offer two shiny counter-examples on the road to a tolerant, seculiar and generally merry Europe: Joseph-Ignace Guillotin, who 'invented' a nifty device, also quite suited to get rid of that present-day bunch of right-wing, ultra-catholic aristocrats, and Saint Simeon Stylites, a 5th century hermite, who spent the last 36 years of his life on a 15 metre pillar - instead of meddling with worldly matters.
