I swear I just saw the little red riding hood this morning! Actually it was more of an elf (pointy ears, a sword and a diadema). Nobody around me seems to have noticed the foreigner, but I know it's there: it smiled back at me.
It's Mardi-Gras!

A weird thing happened as I was "commuting": a group of students had just got on the train and this guy came in and started asking them "Est-ce que vous êtes du 9-1 ?". Things were awkward for a while as the students quickly denied that. Then 2 minutes later the guy started rapping a cappella to the same students (French rap with a content)... It went on for a while (or what seemed to be) before one of the student went: "C'est quoi ça ?"

I was quite close to the whole thing but never thought about intervening since it wasn't "aggressive" but I wonder how I would have reacted if he were rapping to me... I'm probably not as open-minded as I thought I was.

Your humor has an intellectual, even conceptual slant to it. You're not pretentious, but you're not into what some would call 'low humor' either. You'll laugh at a good dirty joke, but you definitely prefer something clever to something moist.

You probably like well-thought-out pranks and/or spoofs and it's highly likely you've tried one of these things yourself. In a lot of ways, yours is the most entertaining type of humor because it's smart without being mean-spirited.

Last night I went to see Joseph Arthur's concert in Paris. It was fun seeing him more... alert than last time he came to Paris: he wasn't shaved but he looked alright and had a bit of fun with the people.
His music is a mix between folk, pop, electro rock. And his live show really is worth it: he still had as much talent as ever with the effect pedals, but last night he had a white frame behind him that he painted while the concert went on.
Hope I'll find some pics and recordings of the concert online soon.

Check this flash animation called Miniature Earth. Once I saw it, I was torn between the fact that some of these things are very true, some of those figures took me aback (put things in perspective), and the fact that I've felt the message to be quite moralizing especially since some of the pictures had no relation with the text.
I've felt like I didn't want a 'cheesy' flash animation to instruct me how I should behave, but, come to think of it, reading a text page with the same content wouldn't have had the same impact.

Oh my god... Just imagine: you're taking someone out (well someone like the only girl of the lab), and then everything goes wrong. The movie you wanted to see is sold out, you go and grab a bite at a steak house when she only eats chicken, the chicken she ordered has a dead fly next to it, one of your neighbors order steak tartare, another neighbor's foot suddenly starts bleeding and leave a puddle of blood. And when you think going to the front of the Hotel de Ville might wipe the board clean since there is a special event (Paris Cinema) being organized, they are playing strange movies with weird fakirs. And when you propose to drive her home, she'd rather run back instead, you finally feel despair whacking your head with a 10-ton mallet...
