Dang I was hot, hot, hot after my visit to the craigslist forum asking for help yesterday. Besides getting told to read the TOU (terms of use), the help I was looking for is lost in rude replies, smarmy attitudes, and the general air of negativity. Drafted a letter to the forum and did not send it (was therapeutic though :) Anyway, it would have just fueled the fire storm going on in there. It will definitely not be a place I visit anytime soon, unless of course I am doing a study on "The Role of Negative People in Our Lives", "How Not to Treat People in a Forum Setting", etc.

My thoughts on this experience..

You attract more bees with honey. This does not mean you have to sugar-coat or be phony sweet, it's about kindness in general. I truly believe acts of kindness beget acts of kindness. Hey you just might make someone's day!

How many of us really understand legal-ease? So just sending someone to read the TOU is like asking a lawyer to do stitches on an open wound. No thanks! The terms are clear on some points, vague on most. I could see why folks would be confused and head to the 'help' forum.

If you are going to answer a question in the CL 'help' forum; wake up on the right side of the bed, pass by a question you think is stupid unless you can answer it with respect, if you think the person is a spammer flag em', people make mistakes and lambasting them in a forum where they are coming for help serves no purpose, and as a final thought is cursing really necessary to get your point across? Read #7 lines a, c and s of the CL TOU if you have any questions :)

Squidoodlings! I am dripping with a cephalopod-like stank and it is sooo a good thing! The elusive giant Squid [as in Jules Verne's epic tale] has totally wrapped its tentacles around my psyche'! And to think I imagined my demise at the hands of a vampire...hmm, I am seeing some similarities here...:)

Anywho...if you don't know what the h-e-l-l-o I am rattlin' on about, then you must check it out to see for yourself. This is what I have started! What are you going to do?
