Anyone ever notice how some the "Rules of the Internet" can be easily translated to describing the U.S.'s perception of its Government and life in the USA?
I was just thinking about it and thought I'd take a look:
(small town through federal I think covers it)

1. Do not talk about the government.
2. Do NOT talk about government.
3. The government is anonymous.
4. The government has legion.
5. The government does not forgive, the government does not forget.
6. The government can be a horrible, senseless, uncaring monster.
7. The government is still able to deliver.
8. There are no real rules about its actions.
9. There are no real rules about governing either -- enjoy your sentence.
10. If you enjoy any rival countries -- DON'T.
11. You must have an I.D. to prove your citizenship.
12. Lurk moar -- it's never enough.
13. Nothing is Sacred.
14. Do not argue with a politician -- it means that they win.
15. The more beautiful and pure a thing is, the more satisfying it is to corrupt it.
16. -----
17. A loophole is fine too.
18. One loophole leads to another.
19. The more you fight it, the stronger it gets.
20. It is delicious cake. You must eat it.
21. It is delicious trap. You must hit it.
22. The government sucks today.
23. -----
24. -----
25. -----
26. PROFIT!
27. It needs more money. No exceptions.
28. There will always be more fucked up shit than what you just saw.
29. You can not ignore that law (just because the words on paper say so).
30. No real limits of any kind apply here -- not even the sky
31. YELLING IS CRUISE CONTROL FOR IMPORTANCE.
32. EVEN WITH CRUISE CONTROL YOU STILL HAVE TO WATCH YOUR LANGUAGE.
33. -----
34. There is a petition for it. No exceptions.
35. If no petition is found for it, it will be created.
36. No matter what it is, it is somebody wants to ban it. No exceptions.
37. Supporting globalization makes you unpatriotic.
38. -----
39. There is a crazier petition of it. No exceptions.
40. The pool is always closed due to AIDS (and nudists, which also have AIDS).
41. If there isn't enough just ask for welfare.
42. Everything has been stolen and siezed.
43. DISREGARD ANY DISCREPENCIES
44. The governement is not your personal army.
45. Some laws are bullshit.
63. If you do not believe it, then it must be made illegal for great justice.
64. Not even the government knows how to run the economy.
65. The next president is a hero to us all.
66. -----

Reasons I will not vote for Obama (In no particular order):
I will not vote for him because...
1. he opposes workers rights to organize and strike.
2. he wants more border security.
3. he voted "yes" to build more fence along the Mexican border.
4. he said that colleges must allow military recruiters for ROTC on campus.
5. he voted for the Patriot Act after promising to repeal it.
6. he wishes to grow the size of the military.
7. he wants to go after Al Qaeda in Pakistan.
8. he voted against giving funding to Amtrak.
9. he is just as much as a liar and a scheming politician as the rest.
10. he is a Democrat.
11. he has no real plans to reduce the major economic debt we are seeing in the US.
12. he voted for REAL ID.
13. there are reasons why he captured youth so well. His style of gaining a fad like following appeals to the young who have never experienced a major election before.

This was my comment from the Inbetweenpolitics.com Raul Castro-What A Nice Guy page:
Sure we seem to have seen from examples that Communism hasnt worked. But havent we seen from examples that Democracy hasnt worked? Just look at the United States. Really, any form of government has failed more often than not. Without pushing my Anarchist views too strongly in this comment, what I mean to say is this: Whatever type of government we have, it runs a strong risk of failing. All types have had examples of failures and successes. What we need to try for is a better system continually. It is to generalizing to say that "Communism" doesnt work or "Democracy" doesnt work since these are too broad of terms. Heck, there are even kinds of Democratic Anarchism and Anarcho-communism. So when we say such-and-such government doesnt work we need to look at the bigger picture and see examples that did/do work and ones that don't to learn from others mistakes and successes. Feel free to message me about this through my SU site.
